Subject: RE: BS: James, West Greenwich and Lillian From: GUEST, Jos Date: 24 May 05 - 04:08 PM Surely you'd have recognised the voice? I find it very disconcerting when members of the Archers turn up in other plays - especially on television when they don't look anything like the real ones in my head. |
Subject: RE: BS: James, West Greenwich and Lillian From: Folkiedave Date: 24 May 05 - 03:38 PM I will make an exception to my rule of "Never Trust an Archer" in this case. Lillian has shown great loyalty to her lover. Well done Lillian. James is clearly a pillock and does not deserve such a sexy and fun-loving mother. (Get that hot-tub warmed up Lillian!) Aside - I once met an actor called Edward Kelsey in Sheffield after a one-off play by Berlie Doherty based on the life of Sam Wild who was a major in the International Brigade in Spain. Sat in the pub afterwards we chatted about this and that - and as he left to go back to his cottage in the Lake District I asked his name. As he car drove off into the sunset I went "Joe Grundy" too late at the top of my voice. Everyone else thought I had finally flipped. Sat next to my hero since boyhood and never realised. Subject: RE: BS: James, West Greenwich and Lillian From: greg stephens Date: 24 May 05 - 02:24 PM The boy is a complete bounder and cad. That poor Brenda, she spends her life consorting with joke villains invented by some failed melodramatic romantic novelists who have insinuated themselves into the script-writing team. |
