Subject: RE: BS: Teddy calls for Rummie's head and... From: GUEST,seth in olympia Date: 27 Jun 05 - 12:28 AM When I see a picture of this guy (Kennedy), I see a map of grief, rage, and defeat wrapped in unearned privlege with a bit of alcoholism thrown in the mix. And Joseph Kennedy was his dad. Ai-yah! I wouldn't trade places with him for all the tractors in Cuba. But he's far from the worst. |
Subject: RE: BS: Teddy calls for Rummie's head and... From: Ebbie Date: 26 Jun 05 - 03:05 PM You didn't answer my question, Doug. Do you want the main thing that Bush will be remembered for to be his "disappeared" years? And for the gods' sake, Doug- how do you figure Ted Kennedy has gotten a free pass? This is a man who has been in a major airplane crash and spent months in hospital recovering from severe injuries, who has seen both of his brothers brutally murdered (got any siblings, Doug?), has been instrumental in bringing about the death of another human being (for anyone better than a sociopath, that is a traumatic, life altering experience), and has had a son with cancer. A free pass? |

Subject: RE: BS: Teddy calls for Rummie's head and... From: Bobert Date: 25 Jun 05 - 11:17 PM Had it not been dfir Viet Nam then LBJ would probably gone down in history as the best president since FDR... But..... Bad wars tend to stink up the joint an' Bush, like it or not, is in the middle of one of them... Ain't about my meds, Dougie, but I'd sho nuff keep yer boy away from the pretzels.... Got himj in a heap of problems as it is and drunk (on pretzels, lol...)ain't gonna help.... Bobert |
Subject: RE: BS: Teddy calls for Rummie's head and... From: Ebbie Date: 25 Jun 05 - 05:34 PM He'll be remembered for a lot more than that, DougR. How many of us have NOT done a stupid thing? Including your beloved president. Is that all you want your president to be remembered for? (If only that was all the harm he did...) |

Subject: RE: BS: Teddy calls for Rummie's head and... From: Bobert Date: 24 Jun 05 - 10:44 PM On a more serious note, Rumsey should be put on trial fir war crimes... Seems to be a lot o thread hyjackin' going on these days... Don't matter if Martin is gone 'er hidin' out... Hey, regulars seem perfectly willin' to enter into these cute, yet predictable volleys, when important issues are brought up... Like what's going on here??? Yes, Donald Rumseld should resign. He has bludered bably in Iraq be trying to micro-mangae something he knows very little about: war. He had bullied generals with way more experienece than he has on war into submission and has completely blown any chance for success in Iraq, which BTW, there wasn't much chance of success in Iraq since Rumsfeld's bumblin' boss, George "Screw Up" Bush, bungled in ther first palce by listening to Karl Rove, Paul Wolfowitz and Richard Pearle in the first place about the wisdom of attacking Iraq.... They all should quit... (But, Bobert, Richard Pearle did quit...) Yeah but not before being told that he had outdone the rest of them in the "corruption" department and had better lie low fir awhile... Bobert |

Subject: BS: Teddy calls for Rummie's head and... From: GUEST Date: 23 Jun 05 - 06:04 PM Rummie sez to Teddy he sez: "Senator, I've offered my resignation to the president twice, and he's decided that he would prefer that he not accept it, and that's his call." Does this mean we can have Dubya's head, then? |
