Subject: RE: Concertina for sale. (UK) From: wysiwyg Date: 14 Mar 07 - 01:35 PM EB, as it says in his link above: WHEATSTONE ENGLISH TREBLE CONCERTINA NUMBERED 4522 This is a lovely playable concertina in modern concert pitch, having 48 metal buttons which are bushed. The 5 fold bellows are in perfect condition and each note is in tune. There is one barely visible crack in the ebony(?) ends which is a merely cosmetic flaw and does not affect the playing of the instrument. I was told that the reeds are of brass. Re-valved in 2000 by the concertina conservator Dave Leese, it has a lovely strong tone and is ready to play. ~S~ |
