I was going to tag this on to the very long Mudcat crafters thread, but didn't want it getting lost. So...anyone a member of ETSY.com?. I just spoke with a woman in AZ who makes jewellery and said she has had some success selling her wares on there. I'd be interested in hearing if any of you have used the site to sell or purchase.

Thanks,

kat

Hadn't seen this one Kat, but I shall be looking at it seriously now!

Thank you.

hmmm...there's actually quite a selection! Even woodturning (under 'bowls')...I'll take a closer look at it later...

Oh, kewl! You both were some of the ones I had in mind when I heard about it. Ferrara's stuff would go nicely there, too, Bill, imo.

I hope maeve sees this, too.

I've added a bookmark to my favorites. At least accumulating favorites doesn't add to the clutter in the house! ;-D

It's been talked about for a few years on the art/craft forums. Most agreement is that, at this point at least, it is mostly a market for DIY and inexpensive things.

On the positive side, it seems to be bringing younger people into the arts.

There's some furniture in there with some fairly hefty prices. What I'm wondering is whether or not any sales have been generated through that site for the people selling those items.
