Subject: RE: UK Mudcatters, Autumn weekend? From: Peg Date: 05 Jul 00 - 10:29 AM this sounds like a wonderful event. Even though I just returned from the UK I am dying to go back in the fall and this might be as good a reason as any...any room for a cappella singers who specialize in those sad, forlorn, Gaelic tales of lost love and premature death by drowning? peg |
Subject: RE: UK Mudcatters, Autumn weekend? From: Llanfair Date: 05 Jul 00 - 03:39 PM Yes, Peg, definately, and I'll add some Celtic ones!! Bron. |
Subject: RE: UK Mudcatters, Autumn weekend? From: GUEST,Trevor Date: 06 Jul 00 - 08:30 AM Can we come, please? We live not far from Shrewsbury and might be able to offer a bit of accommodation if needed. |
Subject: RE: UK Mudcatters, Autumn weekend? From: Llanfair Date: 06 Jul 00 - 03:59 PM Trevor, you are the closest, geographically, so far!!!! You are very welcome to come, as is anyone who is interested. Where are you, Bishop's castle? Have you got a folk session there? I should be able to drop by if there is one. Hwyl, Bron. |
Subject: RE: UK Mudcatters, Autumn weekend? From: Trevor Date: 07 Jul 00 - 04:37 AM Hello, Yes, not far from BC (I guess my entry on the 'Guest Beer string is a bit of a giveaway!). I go to the sessions at The Miners Arms, Priestweston, on the first Wednesday of the month, The Cock at Brockton on the third Wednesday of the month and The Six Bells in BC on Friday every three weeks (although that has just started a summer recess). There are also sessions this Saturday in Church Stretton - afternoon in The Kings Arms and evening at The Green Dragon. See you? |
Subject: RE: UK Mudcatters, Autumn weekend? From: Llanfair Date: 07 Jul 00 - 05:15 PM Just possibly might, Trevor. What kind of sessions are they. Is Jim's amp likely to send anyone into an attack of the vapours? He plays bass, and some people don't like it. Hwyl, Bron. |
