Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Liz the Squeak Date: 26 Dec 00 - 03:11 PM Morty - since when has he gone anywhere without it since he got it?? And I think you should be carefully about incriminating photos - I've SEEN that one of the family where you are 10yr old jailbait and the LFU looks like Peter Sutcliffe...... laughed for quarter of an hour! They are not Christmas pictures, but rather just a few of me, some with the banjo, some with the dulcimer and a couple of pictures of my home made dulcimer. Yes, 'Spaw, by getting me started with the Photoloft idea YOU have created a monster. I'm having a ball with it ;-), Thanks.... Click here to go there! Let me know what ya think and some one sign the guest book, I wanna see how that works! |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Bill in Alabama Date: 26 Dec 00 - 09:19 PM Never mind. Sorry. Good evening. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: catspaw49 Date: 26 Dec 00 - 09:20 PM Bill....There is a loft addy on your editing page there....toward the top. It says something like, "Your loft address for this album is" or something like that. I had the same problem first time I used it too.!! Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: catspaw49 Date: 26 Dec 00 - 09:25 PM Okay....Go to the site and log in.....after clicking "Your Albums" on the main page. When your page comes up it will say "Welcome to Bill Foster's Loft"...Directly underneath it says, "Your Loft HTML" with a URL in a box following. That's the one you need to use. I wanna' see your pictures!!!!! Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Mary in Kentucky Date: 26 Dec 00 - 09:27 PM hmmmm...there are two Bill Fosters. Might you be Dr. Banjo here? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Bill in Alabama Date: 26 Dec 00 - 09:37 PM Mary-- Bless your Heart! How did you figure that out? If you wish to explain, please use email or PM, so that I don't cause you to clutter up the forum. Bill |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: katlaughing Date: 26 Dec 00 - 09:46 PM Great pictures, Bill! Congratulations on the new grandbaby's First Christmas, fine looking family and a darling dawg!*smile* kat |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: catspaw49 Date: 26 Dec 00 - 09:59 PM Lordy, I dunno' how she did it either, but those are just great pictures Bill. Little Bill looks pretty good there and Grandpa looks a bit more worn.(:<)) Nice looking family and I recognized the Museum before that picture fully loaded. Thanks for adding to our album here. How about some more folks??? Let's get this thing going!!! Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Bill in Alabama Date: 26 Dec 00 - 10:38 PM 'Spaw and Kat: Thank you both for your kind words. Somehow John, Will, and I didn't get into any photos of Christmas morning-- I reckon I should have opened my presents with my teeth, like the Cap'm, to attract attention. I threw in a couple of photos from past performances to get the whole family into the album. And THANKS, Pat, for having the the idea in the first place. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Sorcha Date: 26 Dec 00 - 10:52 PM (was a good idea.......) Still wish I had a digie cam...one o' them fancy ones like the PD has.....with a 36 shot capacity, super zoom, and a reader, and all that stuff.....cool little bitty discs, and a big fat program to run it......only about $900 bucks each...... I am enjoying the pics, keep em coming....... |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Banjer Date: 27 Dec 00 - 01:45 AM Fine lookin' group there, Mr. Bill...Left comments also in your guestbook. The way it was figured out which you were is by clicking on the little magnifying glass at the right center of the opening screen of Photoloft and then following the prompts and answering questions until you get to a list of groups that you can view. Although we have the Mudcat Album, this is very interesting also. Gives us a chance to share things that would otherwise probably not get into the Mudcat Album. Lovely idea there 'Spaw!!!! Thanks! |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: catspaw49 Date: 27 Dec 00 - 07:45 PM Aw right folks, let's get ready for New Years at least or get those Christmas pics developed and scanned....... Get on the stick!!! Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Dave Swan Date: 27 Dec 00 - 08:13 PM Spaw, I'm backing up to the monitor and sending you a picture of a pressed ham right now. Can you see it? D |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: catspaw49 Date: 27 Dec 00 - 08:29 PM Did you know you have a zit on your left cheek El Swanno? Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Banjer Date: 28 Dec 00 - 06:07 AM Banjos and bathtub toys? Dave I think you've opened a whole new career concept here! You are right, if I put a little round top on the fret board side it would resemble the Monitor. Cool concept.... |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: catspaw49 Date: 28 Dec 00 - 11:46 AM ....uh, yeah. I hope a few others see this as its been fun. If you'vechecked out the pix, you'll find some fine looking families, but I gotta' tell ya'............ Last night I noticed that Bill, Banj, Micca and I were the worst parts of the pictures. The families all looked happy and beautiful....even the dogs!!! But as I noted on another thread, Micca and Banj look like matching scouring pads, I look like I just farted, and Bill seems to have mugged Smokey the Bear for his hat! Anyway....Howzabout a few more???? Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: MMario Date: 28 Dec 00 - 12:01 PM Have I mentioned how much I *hate* content filters? MAY get to view these from home later if I can get a decent connection and long enough use of 'puter. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Kim C Date: 28 Dec 00 - 04:50 PM I just did a little thingy at Photoloft - no Christmas pix yet cause they're still in the camera! Search by album name: Svetlana's Photos. :) |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Liz the Squeak Date: 28 Dec 00 - 06:51 PM Banjer, do you have any relatives in the UK called Martin Nail? Because you could be brothers or cousins (although, I understand that in Alabama that is usually the same thing......), he plays squeeze box though..... Some good pics there, but not the one of me with what looks like the longest bogie in the world.... I was chewing on a piece of beef and the edge is the desk in the room behind. 10 brownie points for who ever can tell me what is on the screen in the background....! You do realise that New Year's could be a net clogger.... LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Banjer Date: 28 Dec 00 - 08:07 PM No Liz, sorry to disapoint, but I know of no relatives in England. I do have some shirtail relations in Germany. Besides, I live in Florida, not Alabama. I guess you could say (geographicaly of course) that we are lower than Alabama! I don't know about New Years being a net clogger around here. I will no doubt be in bed long before the ball drops. I will however be up again at around 11:45. I was reminded of the tradition that I call my mother and wish her a Happy New Year right at the stroke of midnight. I have been doing that for as long as I have been away from home, some 32 years now. Matching scouring pads???? I have been accused of and been called some strange things in my time but never yet been compared to a scouring pad. Kinda like it though...It's different....Teheeeee |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Sorcha Date: 28 Dec 00 - 08:12 PM crapola. I was hoping for new pics...........where are kat's pics? She has a digiecam.......and our cousin got a really WOW one for Christmas.......green with envy......(shut up Sorch, you got a good deal) |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Micca Date: 28 Dec 00 - 08:21 PM Kim, isnt there a pre-Raphaelite painting of you in that blue dress in the Tate gallery here in London?? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Dave Swan Date: 28 Dec 00 - 08:40 PM Da! Svetlana in fur hat. Is good thing. Catspaw has similar hat. Is trained possum. Sadly, possum is incontinent. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Bill in Alabama Date: 28 Dec 00 - 09:24 PM squeak-- It's I who live in Alabama; Anne and I are not related, as far as we know, but then we're native Tennesseeans. I came TO Alabama with a banjo on my knee many years ago. I was born in East Tennessee, where the bloodlines get really interesting. Bill Foster |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: catspaw49 Date: 29 Dec 00 - 04:42 PM C'mon folks.......How about a few pix here huh? Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Banjer Date: 30 Dec 00 - 07:36 AM Ok gang, since we seem to have a lull in holiday pictures, take a gander at the collection of odd signage I have put together. It is sort of fascinating what folks will put on signs without considering what it will look like. For the fun click here |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Liz the Squeak Date: 30 Dec 00 - 03:20 PM Wish I had a piccy of the sign pointing to the toilets on the Stone Pier, Weymouth Harbour - it points directly out to sea! The other is a cattle crossing sign - silhouette of a cow in a red triangle, poised firmly over a sign that says Wynford Eagle. Funny looking livestock round there! LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Little Neophyte Date: 30 Dec 00 - 06:28 PM Wonderful thread! What a treat to see all these family photos. Inspires me to go out & buy myself a camera. Maybe then I could mail my photos to one of you guys and have you scan them for me. That would be great! Thanks everyone for sharing your holiday memories. Bonnie |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Micca Date: 30 Dec 00 - 06:58 PM The sign that always sticks in my memory is on the public toilets in Whitby (UK) it says " Khyber Pass" |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Bill in Alabama Date: 30 Dec 00 - 07:04 PM Ms. Bonnie--
No problem-- Send 'em on down! PM me for mailing address and let me know when to expect 'em. Bill Foster

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Banjer Date: 30 Dec 00 - 07:22 PM Mr. Bill, she's talking about she is going to have to buy a camera first, the way I read it. Ms. Bonnie, a suggestion, so you can still get in on the fun for this New Years, get one of those disposable, one time use cameras that comes all ready to go. You could pick one up tommorow and still be in time for the New Years whatever that may be happenin'. You other folks also, if you haven't got digital or scanning capabilities any number of us that do would be happy to help get YOUR memories on the site so that all may share them with you. Like Mr. Bill said, PM me also if you like and I too would be happy to help out. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: catspaw49 Date: 30 Dec 00 - 07:55 PM or me too. Happy to do it. I have a digital camera, but just finally got a scanner and I'm having a good time with it too. Let any of us know and we'll be happy to scan them in. I bought more digital camera than I needed, but there are some very nice ones available for "fun shooting" at pretty reasonable prices. Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Little Neophyte Date: 30 Dec 00 - 08:27 PM Catspaw, I would love your help. If I mail you my photos, promise me you won't go 'touching the picture up'......if you know what I mean. Or does that sort of thing only work with the digital camera? Someone once did some very creative digital adjustments with certain parts of my anatomy. :)Little Neo |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Amergin Date: 30 Dec 00 - 08:32 PM You trust him, Bonnie? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: Little Neophyte Date: 30 Dec 00 - 08:42 PM Good point Amergin, I think I'll send my photos to Bill |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Family Holiday Photo Album From: katlaughing Date: 30 Dec 00 - 09:01 PM Or, me, Bonnaphyte, no prob. BUT, you really ought to go get yourself a digital, then you can send them right to us, from your computer, it's really no difficult at all, esp. if BANJ could figure it out!**BG** |
