You sound like me, waiting on the child support check. Has to be routed throught the County child support office. They take vacations, my check gets slowed. Have a holiday? No problem, just leave those envelopes over there in the corner, we'll take care of them after we come back. . .

I have Mediterranean House Geckos living in my mailbox. They move in every summer, and climb the wall to the porchlight to graze on bugs at night. They find it inconvenient when the postal carrier puts stuff in with them. But they'd like to know if something has arrived in Max's mailbox also!

it's problematic - mail in THIS neck o' the woods (Upstate NY) has been known to take 10 days or more to get a first class letter the seven miles from the Penn Yan Post Office to my house. It's not unusual for me to receive a bill AFTER the due date.
