Just got back from Conference....

Thanks to Cllr for getting me to Bristol in time for my train. We hit a stag near Burlesdon and all had to get off the train, then catch two others and I didn't get to Brighton until the early hours of the morning, while all you lot were still singing your heads off!! Never mind, I did make it on to Radio 4 on Tuesday afternoon and evening, plus the Times, Independent, Guardian and Morning Star, so it was worth it!! I have a little something for us to share next time you are down... hurry before it all goes.

Thanks to Splott Man for saying kind things about our set on Saturday. I nearly stopped singing in the chorus of Lifeboat Prayer cos the harmonies were soooo good.

c/Ref the Alternative Folk Awards... now you know why Andy won a Lifetime Achievement Award for Miskin....YES!!!

What was the song that Jon Heslop sang on Sunday night - all I can remember was that it was about fishermen and had a wonderful chorus.

It was called, The Last Fisherman. If you want the words and / or dots pm me for them. If you want it on a CD then you'll have to find someone with Not For Glory, our last CD (totally sold out) or we'll have to do a special pressing for you.
Cracking song isn't it? I know I'm biased but, hey, he's my other half so what the hell .....

Just thought you would like to know that i have been in touch with Miskin Man and Eye Lander who are away on holiday and had already told them about the awards for the festival and long term achievement award for Miskin Man.I am sure when they return they will thank you all again for nominating the festival.

I think I've managed to get some images to Jeff, but with our LAN/my puter playing up, so wait and see! Cats, Jon's rendition of The Last Fisherman was absoutly ****ing amazing, we must sort out a date to come down and do the photo thing. EPN, and MBS Lynne, working on your images tonight, I'll try to get them printed by the end of this week, if so they should be with you some time next week. Then a wedding the weekend after, and so to Murmansk........I think I need a break!
