Well, just for that I think I'll play a little piece on my steam-powered piobroch. Somebody shovel in some coal, please, while I start tuning up. Steam piobroch isn't a widely used instrument anymore, but during its heyday in the mid-19th Century Highlands there were literally tens scattered throughout the lochs. This one was made by Angus Mac Tavish ("Mad Angus" they called him) in Dundee in 1803. It tunes in various keys, one for each of the various chanters. So...let's let it build up a good head of steam and I'll start tuning. A beer, in the meantime -- Bitch Creek, if you hae it. |

So I took Seamus to the beach on Sunday. He romped and I searched the high tide line. I did find a ring...but no coins. The ring is either plastic or glass. Sigh! Maybe next time. Another JD please. Something between three fingers and a liter would do nicely, thank you. And Squiddy will assist me one the pipes. Ready now? |
