Subject: RE: BS: Mike Tindall fined and kicked off team From: GUEST,Jon Date: 28 Nov 11 - 03:54 PM Tindall's been reinstated and had his fine reduced to £15,000. It's still a fair bit higher than the other players fines but I don't think he can argue at that. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mike Tindall fined and kicked off team From: paula t Date: 28 Nov 11 - 05:31 PM Already tried to post a comment, but it didn't appear. I'll start again and if the old one appears then ...sorry. This has been a horrible time for our family. To have to read the tabloid headlines and forum comments made by some people about Mike, without feeling able to answer back, has been unbearable. It is impossible to explain how it feels to read such untrue (and frankly, cheap) accusations and then see them being enhanced and spread, by all and sundry,as "truths" about a much loved and respected family member.I watched the bouncer's original video and was terrified to see the man on screen addressing Mike in that way. A very frightening and menacing thing to watch. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mike Tindall fined and kicked off team From: Jack Campin Date: 28 Nov 11 - 06:04 PM Paula T, I don't particularly care a damn about this guy's private behaviour or his performance at a sport I have never willingly witnessed and would rather didn't exist. I do care that he embezzled 400,000 pounds from the people of Scotland under the pretext of "security" and the protection of class privilege. A wanker who who does that deserves everything he gets. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mike Tindall fined and kicked off team From: Jack the Sailor Date: 29 Nov 11 - 05:27 AM How did he embezzle? By inviting the bride's family? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mike Tindall fined and kicked off team From: Jack Campin Date: 29 Nov 11 - 06:03 AM By using Scottish police as private security guards and not paying a penny for it, thanks to his personal connections. That kind of money could have paid several NHS doctors for a year or provided a couple of homes for people who needed them. Instead it gets frittered away on security theatre for wealthy wasters. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mike Tindall fined and kicked off team From: MikeL2 Date: 29 Nov 11 - 06:08 AM Hi I prefer to keep this thread about Mike and his rugby. I see that he has been "re-instated" ( not sure what this means) and had his fine reduced. I still go by my previous view that whatever the off-the-field behaviour, he is not good enough as a player to hold his place in the team, judged by his performances in this year's matches. He is by no means the only one in this situation in the squad and who-ever takes the reins as Head Coach will need to sift out the dead wood and introduce new blood into the squad. MikeL2 |
