Legitimate or not there's nothing 'new' there.

I've no quarrel with spending money on space. NASA is woefully, and in my opinion, idiotically, underfunded. As for the hungry kids, we SHOULD be able to do BOTH.

Now, the COMMERCIALIZATION of space is another matter.

Hadn't thought of A Canticle for Leibowitz in years!

Canticle For Leibowitz is one of my select 'Paragon of Christianity' writings. Its been done quite well for audio, as well. Heard a critical passage of it one night on the car radio driving north in New Hampshire to go hiking in the White Mountains.

'Smell' is a subjective experience. A dinosaur fart and a Martian 'hot fart' are separated in space as well as time. Doctor Who has had both experiences no doubt and s/he is still with us. Inherit the booth.
