Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: SINSULL Date: 11 Apr 09 - 10:28 AM Ezra's story has touched so many people all over the world. Here in Maine, I have several women who keep asking me for news - they are terrified every time one of their sons goes out the door. And they pray every day for Meghan. My days start and end with a prayer for Ezra's return. It has to happen. It will happen. |
Subject: Abrazos: Praying without Ceasing From: wysiwyg Date: 11 Apr 09 - 10:36 AM To Meghan and family, As a number of posts have indicated, some folks watching this thread closely do not post every time they look in. The following is an example of what I know a lot of us mean by "watching closely." Thanks are not needed-- just, wrap yourself in the knowledge of the energy this little "Mudcat lens" directs your way. With me, it may mean that as I go through the 3 hours of my (newly diabetic) husband's Good Friday services trying to make sure he eats when he needs to, leading a meditation of my own during the service and recording the service for an intern, plus the 2 added hours to re-set the church for the Easter Vigil while a homeless drop-in scares the heck out of the volunteers working hard after their 3-hour service participation, while I teach the volunteers about how helping is done and help the parish secretary get help for the homeless lady-- I'm also thinking of [praying for/sending good thoughts for/sending love and concern to family of/sending gratitude and strength for law enforcement about] Ezra. And Meghan. And Becca. And Kendall. Knowing that no matter how tired my legs, my feet, my mind-- THEY are tired beyond measure. It means that while I have a zillion things to do to get ready for a Monday biztrip, and another zillion things to do, tomorrow, instead of trip prep, to stand with folks and hour away in THEIR crisis, I'll also be thinking about Ezra. It means that during the travel for the biztrip.... the biz meetings... setting up the camper to be near the meetings..... etcetcetc.... at the Racism Commission meeting that will end the bizweek's biztrip..... Ezra. No matter what I am doing-- because I know that his family does not have the luxury nor has yet given themselves, probably, permission, to think of anything else, waking or sleeping, while they also have routine daycrap to deal with. You folks don't get a break-- neither do we who are standing with you. ~Susan |
Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: SINSULL Date: 11 Apr 09 - 03:38 PM Well, the hardest work I did today was a Yoga class. Picture me in three legged doggie pose with leg raised as far it would go behind me and my mind in terror that either I would fart and disgrace myself or not be able to get up. You know me, Morses. I love you all dearly and hope this bit of humor brightens the way a bit. Namaste, Mary |

Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: SINSULL Date: 13 Apr 09 - 08:15 AM I was describing my yoga class to people at work - the Table, The Three-legged Dog, Greeting the Sun, The Tree. They asked if the three-legged dog peed on the tree. I went back to my desk. My password at work is about Ezra. I start every work day with a prayer for him and end it with a wish for peace for Meghan. |

Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: Becca72 Date: 13 Apr 09 - 09:07 AM My sisters, brothers-in-law and I spent the day with Meghan yesterday. It was a very good day all things considered. She's an extremely bright young woman with a good head on her shoulders. I just wish we had some answers, if for no other reason than so that she can get on with the next phase. Not knowing is driving us all crazy. |

Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: Nancy King Date: 13 Apr 09 - 05:24 PM I had somehow missed this thread until Dan called it to my attention. What a horrible situation! Like everyone else, I fervently wish there was something I could do to help, but all I can think of is keeping Ezra and his family in my thoughts, and I surely am doing that! Becca, Kendall, Jacqui, Meghan -- here's one more source of positive thoughts coming your way. Love to you all, Nancy |

Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts needed, please From: Janie Date: 15 Apr 09 - 07:26 PM M i s s i n g -Early in every morn', when suns light the rooms of this house, you are here- here, inside pictures on the wall- here in the silence of memories. Your movements are felt inside us, and we reach out to find you against gray walls, undivided, sensing your smile all around us, when thinking your name. There are those who walk with you, as angels in the dark... angels will find you, by your whisper. And always with you, they watch over you. And sometimes in the early light of morn', they gather to the shore of every ocean, looking out to the tall white waves, that come in their calling, and together, chant prayers for the missing, that may you find a sense of comfort there. You are lost, but not far from the single quiet whisper of hope, nor from the eyes of angels, and hearts of those, who still come to the silent waves, in wait of light's flicker... watching from the shore. You, are not alone. By David Culver Found at http://butterfly36109.tripod.com |
