Just heard the sad news on Clare FM of the passing of this popular man from West Clare:

Very sad to hear this. Ollie was a gentleman and I've spent many great nights in the pub and the back kitchen over the last twenty years. My sympathies to the family also.

Very sorry to hear that, a gentle man indeed, great dancer and singer of big songs

Tragic news indeed. I had many great nights in the back of Ollie's in Mullagh since the early 80s up until it closed. Ollie was always a great host, and always a great encouragement to a visiting musician. Many - if not most - of the best Irish sessions I've ever heard were in Conway's, and for that I will always be grateful. May he rest in peace.

Very sad news indeed. You wouldn't find a more hospitable and generous publican than Ollie. He will be greatly missed and so will his songs and dance. My condolences to his family.
Thank you Ollie for many great nights in Mullagh - may you rest in peace.
Mich

I am saddened by Ollies death and a great loss to all who knew him.He will never be replaced however I see now Michael Mahoney has joined him and those two together will make music and song wherever they are.It should be known that Ollie was also a good flute player.May they rest in peace.
