Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: catspaw49 Date: 16 Aug 12 - 10:42 PM This is disgusting. This has turned into a completely shitty thread! I am incensed and this thread needs some! Sandalwood might be nice............... Spaw |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: Lonesome EJ Date: 17 Aug 12 - 03:03 AM shit. See? My left hand inadvertently hit the submit key before I could complete my sentence. I wish some of you could see what a pathetic shadow of my former ambidextrous lifestyle I am currently bumbling through, and maybe I could get some fucking mudcat mojo up in this bitch instead of a load of comments about my ass and polishing turds. I don't know why everybody else starts a "mudcat mojo" thread and gets sincere well wishes and prayers and invocations to the Great Spirit and such goings on, and I get turd polishing jokes. Anyway, yes, it's coming along. I have a cast on the little finger and ring finger and the rest is out in the open and feeling more limber and stronger. I will have the whole cast off Monday, and start the rehab program. Sincerely, thanks for the good wishes, and things are coming along well, thanks. Love y'all, ya rotten tarts and bastards all. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: Charmion Date: 17 Aug 12 - 08:12 AM Glad to hear it, Ernie. I look forward to seeing you perform the famous impression of a spider doing push-ups on a mirror. Actually, I look forward to seeing you, period. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: Amos Date: 17 Aug 12 - 12:08 PM LEJ: The reason is you just had to go and slip in that remark about the tradeshow being more important than the Getaway. Did you really think you were gonna get away with it under the smokescreen of your request for mojo? The SPirit of the Cat sees all, knows all...and sends your hand her healing blessings, especially the middle finger. A |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: catspaw49 Date: 17 Aug 12 - 12:55 PM You DO need some real Mojo Leej.......Let me take this laptop into the john and I will send the following chant which I shall repeat 7 times. This powerful prayer chant was transcribed by Lord Windesmear in 1921 after a prayer vigil with Joseph Pujol the French flatulist, aka Le Petomane. They were about 45 minutes into this session with the god Creppita when Pujol began speaking in tongues repeating the chant I will post below. When it was over, both passed gas and lit matches in the great god's honor. They also noted that many aches and pains they had each been suffering were gone! Over the years they developed this healing technique and it is what I will now do for you. More importantly, I will pass on the procedure so you can do it yourself. First you must be comfortably seated on the can. Then light a match and say, "I seek your favor Great Creppita." Repeat til the match burns out. I need to warn you here not to use one of those fireplace matches as I did once. By the time it burned out my left leg had gone to sleep and I fell off the crapper. When the match is out, repeat this chant 7 times: Booda loop, booda loop, poit-poit, fflllluuuubbb, BBBRRRAAAAWWWWMMMPPP Booda loop, booda loop, poit-poit, fflllluuuubbb, BBBRRRAAAAWWWWMMMPPP Booda loop, booda loop, poit-poit, fflllluuuubbb, BBBRRRAAAAWWWWMMMPPP Booda loop, booda loop, poit-poit, fflllluuuubbb, BBBRRRAAAAWWWWMMMPPP Booda loop, booda loop, poit-poit, fflllluuuubbb, BBBRRRAAAAWWWWMMMPPP ZZZZIIIZZZZZ FLEEP Now fart after the 7th time and if you can smell it over the burnt match, your prayer will be answered. I will offer the prayer for your healing. You need to do this as well or it may not work as well. Good Luck Leej. Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: ClaireBear Date: 17 Aug 12 - 03:25 PM Damn! I missed the part about your not coming to the Getaway THIS YEAR EITHER. You do realize that you are depriving us of your sweet self two years running? This has got to stop! Thinking healing thoughts for you and, while I'm at it, sudden schedule- changing difficulties for that dang trade show. Claire |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: catspaw49 Date: 18 Aug 12 - 08:44 PM You're supposed to light the match FIRST, not afterwards. That was an important thing Pujol and Windesmear worked out. Sorry about your eyebrows but I was thinking with these you'd be looking pretty sharp.......maybe even better than before! Hope you're healing up! Spaw |

I'm grateful to Spaw for bringing it to my attention. LEJ, we send you our very best wishes & kindest thoughts for a speedy recovery. From what I've read here, your prognosis looks good. Being a patient patient is probably the toughest part. Let Mother Nature work her healing magic & your Martin will spring into life quicker than you can say: "Paul Simon's Martin always looked too big for him!" With Love, Nigel & Ann Paterson. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: gnu Date: 28 Aug 12 - 01:56 PM I see another vid on your thread above the line... time for an update? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: Lonesome EJ Date: 28 Aug 12 - 04:44 PM Well, gnu, the guitar for that was done over a year ago, so I added some one-handed tamborine and overdubbed some vocal. I came out of the cast a week ago, and still have a lot of swelling. The bones have mostly healed and have apparently healed straight, and I start therapy on Thursday. I don't anticipate being able to play at all for another month or two. I tried an A chord yesterday and didn't begin to have the required dexterity for it. Still optimistic, but have a ways to go. Keep the mojo coming! |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: gnu Date: 28 Aug 12 - 05:05 PM "I tried an A chord yesterday and didn't begin to have the required dexterity for it." Agggghhhhh! DON'T do squat until you are well into physio. Don't even cuff yer mutt. >;-) |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: catspaw49 Date: 28 Aug 12 - 06:34 PM I think he could "cuff his mutt" gnu. I recall a discussion on the subject way back when I think he just uses the thumb and forefinger........ Get bettter Blondie Grease |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: gnu Date: 28 Aug 12 - 06:41 PM Spaw... it ain't about heavy weights, it's about reps. Repetitive strain injury is serious shit. Being premature in recovery can go either way. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: JennieG Date: 29 Aug 12 - 03:44 AM When my wrist was still healing from its break (both radius and ulna at the wrist ends) and guitar chords - particular C - were still hard to play, I bought a ukulele. Playing chords on it are a snack compared to guitar chords, and it certainly helped my recovery. Cheers JennieG |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: Lonesome EJ Date: 29 Aug 12 - 03:26 PM Saw the therapist today, and her prognosis was a complete healing and return to normal strength and agility. When I asked "how long", she smiled and said "that's partly up to you and how much you exercise the hand", so, looks good. |
