Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: jacqui.c Date: 07 Dec 07 - 10:06 AM I love this place! Up to date info that hasn't come through on email yet. Sorry to scare you all, but I reckon it's the Mudcat mojo that caused the turn around. I think I'll keep the Cap'n out of the cellar for a while now. He can go in the garage where there's heat! |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: bfdk Date: 07 Dec 07 - 10:09 AM But he still has his pal the skunk, doesn't he? *dives for cover Uhm... *white* whipped cream and no fur for me, please :-) |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Jeri Date: 07 Dec 07 - 10:24 AM Mary, I was worried Kendall might have given it to Seamus. There has been at least one case I know of where family members kept getting it over and over until they had the dog checked and treated. As we all know, dogs will lick ANYthing, and while you may not give a big wet one to your dog, your dog doesn't share your inhibitions. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: katlaughing Date: 07 Dec 07 - 10:30 AM Phew! Kind of glad I slept in a bit this morning. Missed the scare and went right to the going home! Kendalldarlin'...take it easy, breathe deeply, and know that we all love ya! You, too, jacqui! Elaine and Becca, too! Thanks for hollering and keeping us imformed. luvyakat |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Becca72 Date: 07 Dec 07 - 11:06 AM They had him on a Heparin drip overnight and are going to manage everything with meds at this point. My brother-in-law should have him home by now. My sister, Deb, and I scolded him last night because everytime he goes in for 1 thing 4 others pop up. Hopefully we can put an end to that trend this time. Mary, the "duck" is in the sun room. He insisted I "get it the hell outta here" when we left last night. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: ranger1 Date: 07 Dec 07 - 11:09 AM Darn it! I know I posted to this thread! Geez, Kendall! If you didn't want to cook me dinner, you could have just said so! Hugs to you and Jacqui. |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Big Mick Date: 07 Dec 07 - 11:23 AM Boy, at times this being out of touch is dangerous shit!!! With all those women out there, just looking for the opportunity to spoil your wrinkled old arse, and you have to pull this auld load of shite to get attention?????????? I do admire your style though, old buddy. You surely got 'em all paying attention now. Get well, my friend. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Mick |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: ClaireBear Date: 07 Dec 07 - 11:26 AM Kendall, please keep getting better. I'm sending you healing thoughts from California, and here's hoping you enjoy the heck outta that pie. Stay away from the cellar! I'd send you hugs, but perhaps you'd prefer I pet your coat instead: {{{{{{ /|V|\ }}}}}} Jacqui, you are a force to be reckoned with! So, you can will Kendall better from thousands of miles away, hmmm? I'm very impressed, but then I suspected you of having that power as soon as I met you. You are in my thoughts too... Claire |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Amos Date: 07 Dec 07 - 12:04 PM Got mah Mudcat Mojo workin', baby, What more can I do? Got that Mudcat mojo working, What more can I do? Well it fixed up Spaw the Gasser, You better bet it can fix up you!! Mojo! Mojo, mama! Mojo, Mojo! Mudcat Mojo gonna fix up you. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: SINSULL Date: 07 Dec 07 - 12:16 PM I forgot about the duck - another goodie for Jacqui to display in the sun room or pass on to Spaw. This one sings "If you're happy and you know it..." over and over while waving, jumping and shouting hooray. Thoroughly obnoxious. But I do believe that it was the impetus that threw Kendall into recovery mode. I love you, Captain. |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: jacqui.c Date: 07 Dec 07 - 02:43 PM Kendall's daughter has just emailed me to say that he's home from hospital and they have arranged for him to have someone in the house to watch over him. It seems he probably had a very mild heart attack and he has had his meds doubled, leaving him very lethargic. The pain meds he's taking are also making him, to quote his daughter, 'loopy'. Looks like he will be taking it very easy for a while! |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: John MacKenzie Date: 07 Dec 07 - 02:46 PM Oh good, at least he's home, that alone will make him feel 100% better. Keep on trucking Cap'n. Giok |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Janie Date: 07 Dec 07 - 03:07 PM Mild or not, no more heart attacks! Jacqui, this must be awfully tough on you, being all the way across the pond. ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((double and triple hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Amos Date: 07 Dec 07 - 03:18 PM Yeah, but his daughter has been saying he'sloopy since she was thirteen!! He should get a second opinion. Not from SINS -- she'll just say, "Here's a second opinion -- yer UGLY, too!". A |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: jacqui.c Date: 07 Dec 07 - 03:28 PM Not likely Amos - she keeps on embarrassing him by telling him how cute he is! I just phoned home - spoke to his daughter, Deb, who says that he looks very well but is very tired. I did speak to him as well but he hasn't much voice with all the problems and has been told to rest it. He's glad to be home and will be taking it very easy for a few days at least. He sees his cardiologist next week to see how things are and right now his daughters are working out who will go with him to that meeting. All his ladies there are making sure that he is well looked after while I'm away, which is a real blessing. I still feel that I should be there but he doesn't want me to cut short my UK time and my family have looked forward to my visit. jacqui.c - on the third glass of wine of the evening................ |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: gnu Date: 07 Dec 07 - 03:42 PM I'd be tired too if I had a nurse like that. Of course, she could lose the whip. Glad to hear you are in good hands, Cap'n. TRY to rest easy. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: beardedbruce Date: 07 Dec 07 - 03:43 PM I wish I could just send you one of mine ( stents). You planning to enter the competition for the most stents? |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Becca72 Date: 07 Dec 07 - 03:53 PM You're winning as of now, Bruce...he doesn't have any stents ( at least not yet) |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: gnu Date: 07 Dec 07 - 04:06 PM Say... Becca and the rest of the clan... youse guys try to "rest" a bit too, eh! This stuff can be far more stressful than one realizes at the time. I know it's almost impossible, but it's worth the effort. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Becca72 Date: 07 Dec 07 - 04:16 PM You have no idea, Gnu. Just dealing with my sisters when they are in "crisis mode" is stressing me out big time. I am the youngest by a significant amount of years and so I get left out of all of the decision-making. I am told what my assignment is instead. As you can tell, this pisses me off a little bit :-) |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: ranger1 Date: 07 Dec 07 - 04:19 PM Hmm, why does that not surprise me...chip off the old block that you are. I'll be home on Sunday, Becca. Call me if you need anything, even if it's just to blow off steam over a cup of coffee. PM on its way. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Mark Ross Date: 07 Dec 07 - 04:27 PM Kendall, Hope you get better soon. I look forward to trading jokes with you in the near future(and not over the phone either). Mark Ross |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Amos Date: 07 Dec 07 - 04:30 PM Ya know, Gnu's got a good point there. Becca, I can quite understand your feelings on the matter; perhaps you should wind up and give them gals a piece of yer mind? Let me know in advance, and I'll sell ringside spots. I'll make it worth your while! :D A |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Charley Noble Date: 07 Dec 07 - 04:41 PM Kendall may not need a stress test but I do, after the downs and ups of this thread, and I expect several other good fans of the Captain could also use one. Our best for a speedy recovery. I bet that hospital is in a shambles! Charley Noble and JudyB |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: beardedbruce Date: 07 Dec 07 - 05:18 PM Becca72 I've only got 9 - there is at least one person out there with 11. But one needs to try to get them in matched pairs- for the money, they should be considered as future jewelry ( earings, perhaps?) |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Becca72 Date: 07 Dec 07 - 05:24 PM It's coming, Amos. It's been years building up. Some day the "quiet one" is going to explode and then you can sell your ringside seats. :-) Clash of the Titans. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Bobert Date: 07 Dec 07 - 05:46 PM Yo, Capt'n, If you read this before they give you the loopy pill just fake takin' it, have a couple Scotches an' you can be loopy, al naturale'... Or do as my grandmother used to do when the nurses would try to give her meds and tell 'um if the meds "are so good then you take 'um..." B~ |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: SINSULL Date: 07 Dec 07 - 07:36 PM I was at the Morse Christmas Dinner last year. Becca you and I have to sit down and discuss the Sullivan Family Feasts. Honest - your family is normal in comparison. An update: I drove in slippery snowy conditions (with multiple accidents caused by A**Holes who don't know that it is best to slow down while the roads are icy) to Free Range Lobster where I was scheduled to pick up haddock and Maine Shrimp for the Captain. On my way the cell phone rang twice but I couldn't drive and dig in my purse for it at the same time so I drove on to Chez Morse knowing full well it was Kendall calling wondering where his dinner was. When I arrived I got to hear that he was "not hungry" because the meds had killed his appetite. I did not dare ask why he kept calling me on the cell phone. The boy and I went out and played with snowballs while Deb started his dinner. He wanted us all out of there and I can understand it. Too many people for too long - he is aching for quiet and privacy. Lethargic? NOT! He picked up Yukon Jack (whose button I had pushed) and flung the warbling woodsman clear down the hall. Kendall's back! |
