Subject: RE: Where do you get your news? From: InOBU Date: 30 May 01 - 10:54 AM I have a brand new sorse of information. I stop everyone I meet on the street and say, "HEY! Wasup?" Eventually you will find out everything in the world, as long as you live in a big international city, like New York... and don't get murdered. - Larry |
Subject: RE: Where do you get your news? From: Rick Fielding Date: 30 May 01 - 11:00 AM Hey Guest Rick, My gawd we should be related...another information junkie with left leanings who's job is music! You got a book from RN... I got one from NC! You aren't a Bluegrass and old time freak as well are you? Rick |

Subject: RE: Where do you get your news? From: GUEST,mgarvey@pacifier.com Date: 31 May 01 - 12:39 AM Drudge Report, Oregonian and Columbian..I too love watching Cokie Roberts..don't know why...she is irreverant or something...I can't listen to NPR...something about what seems to be a majority of their voices hurts my ears...they must be selecting for something other than melodious voices...except for the wonderful Fiona Ritchie who I could listen to forever. mg |
Subject: RE: Where do you get your news? From: DougR Date: 01 Jun 01 - 02:15 AM Drudge Report! Guest, mgarvey@pacifer.com, do you realize that you are putting yourself in peril? This here is a liberal site, pardner, and those that admit reading the Drudge report do so at risk of being tabbed a ...gasp ...Conservative! DougR |
Subject: RE: Where do you get your news? From: Gervase Date: 01 Jun 01 - 07:14 AM Good to see so many fans of the BBC. For me it's BBC R4, the Guardian and New Statesman as "must haves" and just about any other print medium if I find it lying around (with the exception of the Daily Mail. that always makes me so bloody angry I end up wishing I'd wiped my arse with it instead. And to think I once worked there. The shame....) Television news in the UK seems to be tabloid-inspired crap, with the exception of Channel 4 (which is on too early for me) or Newsnight (and I'm usually out by then). Online, I look at the Evening Standard most days (which saves me wasting 30p on buying it) the BBC and the LA Times every once in a while. |
