Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: CarolC Date: 26 Oct 01 - 12:12 AM Hey Micca. Got your PM. I'm sending my response to your membership, so you might not get it until you get home if you don't set your cookie on anyone's computer.
Hope the rest of your trip is wonderful. Carol |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: bill\sables Date: 26 Oct 01 - 07:43 AM You all seem to like him so much is there any chance of getting him a green card and keeping the bugger over there. It will give us, in the UK, a rest for a while. Bill |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: MMario Date: 26 Oct 01 - 08:37 AM Bill - it's kinda like a bachelor playing with someone else's kids. You enjoy it, as long as it is temporary! |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Bat Goddess Date: 26 Oct 01 - 08:48 AM Gee, Micca, I think peak foliage was LAST week -- but at least we haven't had high winds or rain to destroy what's left. (I've been trying to convince the color to stay in the leaves and the leaves to stay on the trees at least through your visit!) See you tonight! (Hope everybody can get to The Press Room more or less early -- 5-ish, perhaps?) Bat Goddess |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Fortunato Date: 26 Oct 01 - 08:59 AM Bat Goddess, please tell his Lordship that his faithful retainers here in Silver Spring stand in need of flight/airport information. Have a great time at your singaround. Micca. JudyO will be joining us for dinner at the Mile and anyone else you care to invite. Bob Hitchcock my partner in crime may make it as well. We can come back to the manse for music after. The front yard is filled with the red maple leaves you like so well. It's like a red carpet. Have fun, Chance |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Bat Goddess Date: 26 Oct 01 - 12:46 PM Hey! Who's all coming to The Press Room this late afternoon/evening? Just got a call that Animaterra has been felled by the bug her daughter has and won't be able to make it, but Sinsull and Micca should (if the directions Tom just gave her were good, and they usually are) be there early. Barry, I think you said you'd be there. Naemanson and Charley? We've got to sing loud enough for Animaterra to hear, but not too loud to disturb her. (She's disturbed enough already ;-) Bat Goddess |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: GUEST Date: 26 Oct 01 - 12:50 PM I shall be there for the first time ever. Dick D. |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Charley Noble Date: 26 Oct 01 - 12:55 PM Love to come but I've got to protect enough of my vocal chords to be a pirate on Saturday. Say, why don't you bring the whole crew up to Bath on Saturday evening to join the party? Brett may go to The Press Room anyway, although he's promised not to sing anything, and Dick is definitely planning to attend your gathering and you should encourage him to sing because he's not performing with us at the Pirate Halloween Party. Have a great time.:-( |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Jeri Date: 26 Oct 01 - 01:04 PM Dick D, please make sure you say "hi" to us. I'm the one with the hair and the fiddle. Geez, you Maine folks sure are delicate little flowers! |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: MMario Date: 26 Oct 01 - 01:09 PM If Jeri's first two clues aren't enough - add the voice - 'cause she's got one incredible voice. |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: AllisonA(Animaterra) Date: 26 Oct 01 - 01:15 PM copious tears And I won't be there after all- for Micca and Mary's whole visit I've been laid low with a nasty cold that's lodged in my throat, and I have laryngitis and a headache and- they've gone and left me to sorrow and mourn. Have a great time, all, and give the little bugger lots of hugs from me. I'm going to bed *sniff*. |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Jeri Date: 26 Oct 01 - 01:22 PM I know Dick, Dick knows me...just takes a little while for the light in the attic to go on. Duh. Animaterra, hope you're feeling better soon. (I came down with a stupid cold about 3 1/2 weeks ago that is STILL hanging on! Hope you have something different.) |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Bill D Date: 26 Oct 01 - 01:24 PM When is it at the Royal Mile (USA version) Sat, Chance? I have a little package to deliver before we send hisself back home. (I will be coming from N. Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Bat Goddess Date: 26 Oct 01 - 01:25 PM Hey Jeri -- check your e-mail. Or give me a call, or whatever. (Or both) BTW, Charley, I second what Jeri said about delicate little flowers . . . Bat Goddess |

Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Charley Noble Date: 26 Oct 01 - 04:54 PM Hey, Jeri and Bat Goddess, we're offering you one of our best voices for abuse. If you want more of us to sing with, truck up to the Maine Maritime Museum Saturday evening. Best come armed, because we certainly will be! Sing Micca a couple of verses of "Wake Up, Susianna" for me, will ya. |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: AllisonA(Animaterra) Date: 26 Oct 01 - 05:51 PM I don't know why you are all insulting poor Micca- I had a perfectly marvelous visit! If it wasn't for my laryngitis I would have matched his chatter and beaten it! |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Bert Date: 26 Oct 01 - 08:53 PM We are all insulting him because insults are part of his cultural heritage. |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Jeri Date: 27 Oct 01 - 12:40 AM Right, Bert. We're just trying to make him feel at home. Left him and SINS at Bat & Mudge's house a short while ago. I chased a stupid deer down the road about a half mile from my house. The poor thing looked at the car, and about 10 seconds later must have thought, "uh-oh - better run," so it did - right down the middle of the road. We had a fine night, and I think we all enjoyed his company and his songs. |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Big Mick Date: 27 Oct 01 - 08:09 AM I insult him to show him that I care about him........if this must be explained, then you won't get it........LOL. I have never enjoyed someone's company more, but then again, I didna hae ta travel with the wee man. Mary, m'love, you are a Saint. Your reward awaits thee. Mick |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Jeri Date: 27 Oct 01 - 02:12 PM Mudge, Bat and Micca ought to be at the airport about now. I went back to join them and SINSULL for coffee and quiche. I should warn the DC folks that Micca may be a bit depressed when he gets there. It seems he fell madly in love while he was here, and the parting was difficult. He was weeping sad tears into her fluffy pink feathers, and kissed her passionately on the beak before taking his leave - perhaps never to see her again. Be kind to him. |

Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Fortunato Date: 27 Oct 01 - 11:43 PM Micca on tour I wish to go on record and register my grateful thanks to Mary Sinsull for her unfailing good humour and support and generally all round niceness during the last week, she laughed in the face of adversity(in spite of the Hansell school of map Directions) and took lightly those times when it could have been more difficult... I miss you already,Mary, and I thank you for your support and tolerence, Love, Micca (copy from the BD thread) Just dont mention the pink!!! |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Big Mick Date: 27 Oct 01 - 11:51 PM MICCA, I would like to go on record as saying what a pleasure it was to meet you. Now......about your wardrobe........specifically those pj's............LOL. Mick |
Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now? From: Bert Date: 28 Oct 01 - 12:03 AM Sorry about those directions. I was forgetting about New Jersey road signs. To get to I95 South you had to take the exit labelled I95 North. And the directions to cross the bridge into Pennsylvania didn't get signposted until about two miles AFTER you should have turned off. Next time you travel in a foriegn country - buy a bloody map. Of course that still won't tell you about the road signs. |

Oh, ah, what incident? Nothing happened that I saw. Bit of a bore, really, we all fell asleep after a really nice cup of tea.
