Subject: RE: Song suggestions for a nude singaround? From: Little Hawk Date: 15 Sep 11 - 05:57 PM Seems to me any song at all would do. If everyone was nude, why would it even matter any longer? You'd find this out quickly enough if everyone's clothes vanished. All of a sudden "nude" would not be "nude" any longer, it would simply be normal (meeting the norm), ordinary, unremarkable, prosaic, and not sexy in the least. But I realize this is just a search for amusing song title possibilities...so carry on. ;-) |
Subject: RE: Song suggestions for a nude singaround? From: Genie Date: 16 Sep 11 - 01:50 AM Hawk, you're right, of course. On both counts. I can vouch for the non-extraordinary, non-sexual nature of nudist scenarios such as nude beaches. In fact, I'd say beaches where people run around in thongs and string bikinis are much more sexually titillating than the nude beaches I've frequented. (It's kind of like clothing offers a sort of protection of personal space that often invites much more intrusion into such space than is accepted or tolerated when those barriers are removed. People (especially men) do things such as staring at or even touching parts of people's anatomies far more openly and freely when everyone is wearing clothes than when they're nude. But on count two, you're also right. This is just a silly thread about what one might SING if we were all nude. : ) |

Subject: RE: Song suggestions for a nude singaround? From: frogprince Date: 17 Sep 11 - 09:43 PM L.H., did you know this one? your reminded me of the last verse. The Natural Girl For Me Words and Music by Tom Paxton All over this great big city, Can't find a woman who's nice and pretty. They all look like a page in a magazine. Legs are long and they eat like a sparrow. Figures stick to the straight and narrow. Top and bottom are the same as in between. [Cho:] Show me a pretty little number, When she walks, she rolls like thunder, Eyes as deep and dark as the deep blue sea. Round right here and round right there, Pretty red lips and her very own hair, Wrap her up, she's the natural girl for me. Went down to a coffeehouse palace, Met a little lady and her name was Alice. She had friends and her friends had her it seems. Face was dirty and her sweater was baggy, Pants were tight and her hair was shaggy, I've seen her kind on college football teams. [Cho:] Way up in a penthouse pretty, Thirteen miles above the city, I met a lady from a wealthy family. She could cuss like a real longshoreman, She was making eyes at the doorman. She made a most unusual offer to me. [Cho:] Way up at a Broadway party, Met a little lady who was very arty, She took me home to see her studio. She took out her paints and she whispered to me, She said that she wanted to do me. Some of that paint will never come off, I know. [Cho:] |

From: Black belt caterpillar wrestler Date: 19 Sep 11 - 07:55 AM I just thought that it might be appropriate to mention the monthly folk session in Todmorden that takes place at "Bare Arts". It is an establishment that twins the brewing and sale of real ale with an art gallery of paintings of nudes, and is a very welcoming place to visit! It's easy to find as it's opposite the Morrison's supermarket and painted bright pink. |

Subject: RE: Song suggestions for a nude singaround? From: JohnInKansas Date: 21 Sep 11 - 12:31 AM I'd suspect that "Steel Drivin' Man" should be good for a chuckle or two to lighten the mood. The CW "If I Said You Have a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me" likely wouldn't go over well with actual "naturists" as they tend to be rather "conservative" (in the non-political sense) with respect to sexual suggestiveness; but for a "pretend naughty" group sing (like some skinny-dippings) it might be okay. "(Gimme That) Old Time Religion" sometimes includes: Let me worship like the Dru-ids Drinking stange exotic flu-ids Runnin' naked through the wo-ids It's good enough for me. A question that arises is that if there are to be instrumentalists participating will there being anyone bold enough to play a squeeze box? (Even at arms length? - or maybe we should say "chest high"?) John |

Subject: RE: Song suggestions for a nude singaround? From: Mr Red Date: 19 Jan 16 - 04:48 AM 1812 (Derek Craft& Geoff Bodenham) (see link) used to sing one about being booked to do a gig at a nudist camp. Based on the concept of Django Rheinhardt & Staphane Grapelli gigging at same. In DR & SG's case they debated and decided to turn up nude. The audience had probably debated and turned up clothed. Sadly 1812 have long stopped performing and Geoff I know died last year. If you can find the lyrics it was a hoot. Can't remember the title. |
Subject: RE: Song suggestions for a nude singaround? From: kendall Date: 19 Jan 16 - 12:50 PM There was a preacher who wanted to do something different to re awaken his congregation's interest in coming to church. He announced that next Sunday, he wanted everyone to come dressed in such a way that others could guess the hymn they were thinking of when they dressed up. Next Sunday, the first to show up was a beautiful, well endowed young woman, stark naked. When asked what she represented she said "Just as I am." Next came a young man wearing nothing but a skirt made of grass and weeds. Preacher asked what hymn he had in mind and he said, "I was thinking of "Bringing in the sheaves, but, if you don't get Just as I am out of here I'll be coming through the rye." |
