BS: Irish translation needed

I know some one who needs a translation of the following phrase for a project she is working on:

"failte roimh as gcairde infheicthe, on tir, on muir is on speir "

I just come up with a horribly loose translation...so I am hoping that some one here can come up with something better.

Which roughly translates as: "We welcome all our friends, seen and unseen, over land, over sea, and over sky." "Over sky," and "unseen" being a reference to friends and family members who are dead, which is of course entirely in Irish tradition in turning even a happy occasion into a mawkishly sentimental celebration of death.

That whole bit is from the site I linked to. I do NOT share the author's sentiments. Well, neither the Scottish nor English parts of me do. The Irish part of me, however, is going to have a few ales and a good cry.

Few people are less sentimental about death than the Irish. Don't mistake ritualised expressions of sorrow for sentimentality. Its those who are unable to deal with death and have to disguise its ever-presence in life who are being sentimental.
