There's a meeting coming up and the theme is

Eat, Think, Share

For a HUGE variety of reasons, we also need to have

Eat, Drink, Share

on the back of the tee shirts.

My Latin is very, very rusty. Would someone please translate these two phrases into Latin for me? (Others languages would also be appreciated.)

Thanks!

cenare, cogitare, consociare

(That's using the infinitive - "to eat, to think, to share", which I think might be more likely in this kind of motto.

Cene ! Cogite ! Consoce ! (sing.)
Cenete ! Cogitete ! Consocite ! (pl.)

Uses the imperative, possible even more appropriate.

Eat me!    (Propriety depends on who's attending, I think.)

And the prize goes to McGrath of Harlow.

Or you could use the imperative pl.:

Cenate, cogitate, consociate.

Or the subjunctive, 3rd person pl. (let's ...)

Cenemus, cogitemus, consociemus.

And do you really want to exclude joyful drinking?

bibere - bibite - bibamus.

Using the infinitive is a way of avoiding the choice between singular or plural.

GCE Latin (failed).

Dave (I think the imperative is best).

Cenemus, cogitemus, consociemus.

I presume that's a slip for the 1st person pl. present subjunctive, otherwise known as the hortative subjunctive
