Thanks to a reference Peace made to another poster, I've just googled my username Mickey191. The thought never entered my mind-I've googled my legal name and nothing deragatory came up.

But Mickey191 has 712 references. It is also owned by a fellow in Agra, India who likes Kinky (to me) sex and wants some rupees for the act (s) He's an amenable guy who evidently swings both ways and ways I'm not familiar with. Good Gracious Miss Molly!

Then we have a fellow in Germany: This is his input: My-Hammer.de - Bewertung des Benutzers Mickey191.

I hope Wolfgang or someone can tell me what he's up to. I seem to recall that Hammer in the U.S. has atleast three meanings--one of which is risqué.

Tell me folks-have any of you looked up your usernames & been surprised?

The Indian fellow has given me pause to wonder if I should change my sobriquet?

I find my 'cat name used briefly by someone on eBay (where I have NEVER participated) and also used briefly by someone at a "stock gaming" site I've never even visited. Both are apparently inactive(?).

I find myself quoted in several places where I've never been; but all of the ones I looked at are more or less accurate quotes of or references to my postings at mudcat.

There are some disturbingly "unsavory" associations with some of these posts, as other mudcatter names appear associated with some of them ... but nothing too disturbing - barring confusion on the part of potential readers.

My name was originally designed for a character in a role playing game- I wrote a program to generate original names.
My sons were really into gaming and I was disenchanted with the "Lord Poison, the Dark Mage" and "Dwayne the barbarian" so I thought I'd do some clever random statistical stuff to generate names of predictable and pronounceable exoticness.
I liked Darowyn so much that I kept it. It's the right initial for me, and even has a meaning as a Welsh name (which it isn't) - White Oak.
The name seems to have leaked out into the wider RPG world, and there are a few references to adventures of Darowyn.
There is also a Julie Darowyn, who seems to be a Christian Musician, but about which I can find no more.
The rest of the Darowyns, musical, acoustical or Biking, are all me.

However, if I put in my full name that narrows it down considerably.

Mickey, I'm not sure where you're doing that search. I tried my SRS moniker with and without spaces between them and it doesn't turn up at that Googlism site.
