Laurel's (Open Mike's) Radio Show June 10, 2007 Cowboy Music Featured

My radio show tomorrow will be a memorial to Laura Ellen Hopper, who
passed away recently. She has been in the fore front of radio programming for many years, helping to start a couple of progressive stations in California. KFAT and KPIG. She also was the host of a program on KPIG as well as owner/operator/manager of a web site that streams cowboy music all day and night.

I will feature cowboy music on my show tomorrow in Laura Ellen's memory.

My show is the Crossroads Show and airs on KRBS from 1-3 p.m. pacific time on the second sunday of each month. The stream can be reached by
going to the radio station's home page and following the link.

Hey, that sounds like something I'd like but I can't stream on-air play. Do they make pod-cast copies available for later play or download so I could check in during my lunch hour one day at work where I have a high speed connection?

no archiving...but it is fund raiser time
and if you were to make a donation to the
station..i could record the show and send
a c.d.

I will be recording it...so let me know
if interested and i could send 2 hour
disc for a donation...of say, $15 - $20?

Laurel, I am confused. I just tuned in as it is 213p Rocky Mtn time which I thought would be 113p your time, but there is some fellow on talking about the space program. Have I got my time zones wrong?

i should have started a new thread.
i was disappoinited when i got to the station
to find out that we are no longer streaming our shows..
apologies to anyone who may have tried to log in...

i also found out when i got to the station that it
was pledge drive time.


november's show wll feature harvest, fields, farmers, bounty and crops.
december's will be a cowboy special.

i welcome and discs to be included...p.m. for address to send to.

although the show is no longer available on the internet,
i always post a play list to the folk d.j. list and web site
so other radio people can see the contact info for the music i play!!
