Nothing to do with music, but a strong and successful business woman, one of the first to start a 'Green' company back in the 1970s. She appears to have had a brain haemorrhage.

Her decision to use natural, recycleable products in her manufacturing, and her global search for natural beauty and cleansing products was way ahead of the times and changed the face of beauty products.

She discovered only a couple of years ago that she'd contracted Hepatitis C many years previously, and had stated that she intended to be even more determined to get on with things.

Not a good write-up that. It feeds on the common fear that anyone who is successful in business has to lie. What do the likes or you and I know. She was selling an experience, and just like pope singers it is a facade. We want to believe and it gives us a fillip. until we discover we have been conned.

Newspapers and comics like the Sun trade on that cycle of good guy bad guy. But when did they print the facts? they are trading on a facade of honesty they won't adhere to.

Odd that the article linked by Gulliver is from Brazzil Magazine dated.....1976?

I have no idea whether or not the Body Shop is or ever was ethical, about the only claim I can recall regarding their products was that they were not tested on animals. However, I did like their perfumes, as some of the fragrances were the only ones I ever found that my family wasn't allergic to.

I have some that I purchased in the eighties or early nineties that I'm still using. Perhaps that says something regarding the chemical stabalizers in the stuff. LOL

aye then she sells it to a comany that sells products that where tested on animals, Now I don't mind using these products that are used on animals, but if she sold things that weren't tested on animals, and then sells her business to the company that sells Animal tested products, you can't put that down to her brain haemorrhage.
