The Redwall books are well worth reading, if only for the delightful "mole speak"....deeper'n'ever turnip and tater pie anyone?

My boys and I *love* the Redwall series, and especially the moles...I had an excellent laugh on a visit to Dorset a few years back when my youngest commented that a man in the pub "had their accent!"

Daughter & 12yo son really love those books, even though it's a couple of years back since they read them all!

I still have a huge collection of early Redwall books. Some of the poetry that is in those books is really quite good. Brian Jacques is one of the best children's writers in my opinion. There was also an animated series done- saw some of it, but nothing can live up to those books.
