Just save your valuable time by naming everyone you like here instead of starting a new thread:

Anyone for Pablo Picasso, Pope John Paul II or G.W. Bush - folk singers?

;0)

Ernest

I think Bush has INSPIRED many folk singers/protest singers/folkprotest singers, so he should get a Folk Award, most definitely.

You seem to be obsessed with american politicians, Cuddles.

I was of course thinking of Gongaburra Willy Bush from North Queensland, famous leader of various BUSH-Bands and in fact the inventor of BUSH-Music.

Better yet, save your valuable time by naming everyone you like in the existing thread, instead of starting a new thread or posting in a new thread, because they'll probably get combined by a site volunteer anyway.

:~)

Good heavings! Do you mean to tell me Ernest that he's still making music? Why, the last I heard of Gongaburra he was in a Nursing Home in Wongaburra. I'll write him and see how he is.

Wongaburra Nursing Home

Well, well, well! The things you learn on Mudcat.

I'm sure GW Bush sings the Star-Spangled Banner, and as EVERYONE knows it, that makes it a folk song and him by extension a folksinger.
Somebody PLEASE fault this logic.

OK. The joke got old with the third copycat thread. Any new ones after this will be deleted. I'll leave this one thread open for those of you who just have to beat this thing to death....
