It won't be long before the 2nd The Gate to Southwell Folk Festival 0n the 6th June to 8th June 2008. Last years was excellent, and this years looks to be excellent again.
I reckon they had the best kept toilets for a Folk Festival last year.

Bellowhead, Solas, Cara Dillon, Tanglefoot, Maire Ni Chathasaigh and Chris Newman, Jez Lowe and the Bad Pennies, Rachel Unthank and the Winterset, Bob Fox and 422, Bill Caddick, All Blacked Up, Brooks Williams, Flossie Malavialle, Ruth Notman, Gareth Pearson, Quicksilver, Dr. Sunshine and Something Nasty in the Woodshed.

I went there last year and it was a) great and b) sunny - one of the few weekends last year that were!

I might be able to make the Friday and Sunday - fingers crossed! Hopefully Maire Ni Chathasaigh / Chris Newman and Rachel Unthank and the Winterset will fit around my schedule :-p

I get back from NZ into Heathrow on the Saturday lunchtime, after overnight(s) travel, so am likely to be somewhat tired, as it will be teatime before I get home! I might get down on the sunday, if I am up to it, as it's only an hour or so from me. The last I went to the Gate was 1987, when my old man was dancing in it!

The damn thing's almost on my doorstep, I might be Moor & Coasting but even if I'm not I'll be there! I missed last year due to a hen day, apparently we don't just do hen *nights* these days, it has to be more than that!
