Karen is a Histotech, a labtech who cuts up the tissue samples, cuts them into thin slices, makes slides, and stains them for the pathologists to interpret/read. Didja' know that malted milk balls resemble gall stones? 25+ years back when she was in school, one of the instructors passed around a specimen jar with several of them in it and then proceeded to eat them.......got their attention anyway.
