Her worship will be appearing on the award winning Gavin & Stacey on BBC3 either this coming Sunday (6th) or the next (13th).

She can be seen with members of the Cardiff band Pluck & Squeeze, calling a dance, and also (hold your breath!) performing a Line Dance.

She will be signing autographs at Crediton Festival.

Ah - but will she be playing the electric spoon - I kid you not! Once when she was doing a show with me she had a set wired to lights on her head, whenever the spoons made contact it completed the circuit and the lights lit - wonderful idea!!

I remember that one. It was the music hall concert. I found some red and black lacy babydoll pyjamas in a charity shop in Sidmouth for 50p and that was my 'costume'. Jon wired me up in the Ham car park and a man walking by couldn't take his eyes of us and walked straight into a big van! We played the Can Can and I flashed.

Hate to tell you this, Pattie, but Jon couldn't take his eyes off you either ~ there again, he had to or you never know where the wires would have ended up.

It occurs to me, having just watched the latest Gavin & Stacy episode, that perhaps we should set up a help line for any foreign Catters who might watch via the internet. I'm sure Welsh catters would volunteer to handle the Baaaaarrrry translations; who do we have down Essex way (Gavin is an Essex boy, isn't he? I'm not too au fait with foreign parts.) to help out?

In south Wales we say "Where's it to?" when looking for something.
"Tidy" is "Very good".
"(H)'alf Tidy" is "Very, very good".
"Cowing Luscious" or "Lush" is "Excellent".
"Iss Dooin' my 'ead in" is "It's getting on my nerves".
"I'll ge' my Nan on you!" when addressing an annoying person.

More to follow

Now in a minute - somewhere in between now and after (but more urgent than the Cornish "dreckly")

Sorry to put the record straight on Pat's electric Sidmouth spoons - but it was MY idea, and I was in the car park with Jon! I got the flash of inspiration years ago, before I met Pat - an one-off TV late-night programme called Six and Seven-Eighths, consisting of some very weird sketches. One was The Electric Martian, showing a guy in a space suit, covered in lights and playing spoons. The spoons made contact and the lights flashed! That memory will stay with me always...

Yes I did a strip for Taffy. I sat in the Dove for about half an hour with 8 layers of clothes on, each labelled with a price. I was boiling! The idea was the money had to be collected before I took off an item of clothing and the price went up the more I took off. I eventually got down to my bikini, the top was labelled £200 which had to be collected in cash and of course no-one had that amount on them Phew!, the bottoms were labelled 'Priceless'. Then Bob Copper offered to pay me to put them all back on!

Too right, Scooby. The best action you can take with a troll is to squash it underfoot. Sorry to be late on Baaaarrry accents, but here's a local accent which is even more idiosyncratic than Barry: The Port Talbot accent.

Lord Heycock, the Labour peer and chairman of the county education committee (!) lived in a bungalow in Taibach, Port Talbot. At the opening of a new school, he is reported to have said: "Sorry that the haarr-ti-tect cannot be yer, but 'e have broken 'is haarm."

There's an apochryphal story about a Jehovah's witness knocking on Lord Heycock's door, which was opened by Lady Heycock. JW: "Is the Lord in the house?" Lady Heycock: " 'Ang on a minute, luv, 'e's on the lav."

The band were members of Pluck & Squeeze from Cardiff.

Lorna & Pete Davies on accordian & guitar (he built it himself - a Selmer copy),
Heulwen (sorry, don't know here surname) on fiddle,
and Phil Thomas on bass.

Dr Who eh?

You can see the building where I work on the Bay shots in Torchwood though.

Jamie & Grainne Smith from the band Mabon used to be occasional extras on Dr Who.
