Well its been almost a year, in fact a year this month since I last posted on Mudcat. I took a little break. So did I miss anything? Have you all been behaving yourselves? I don't want to go back through the last year of posts maybe someone could write a summary.

You missed it. A few months ago Bill Gates asked us all to forward his e-mail to everyone in our address book. After we did that we were all given a free laptop computer and 5,000 dollars. You should have been here.

HeyaDen! Welcome back!

The only thing I can think of that was significant was Max moved to a new house and has a super-duper music room in which Mudcat now resides with hardwood floors and a regular bathroom even!

Last year, Sandy & Caroline Paton, Art Thieme, and Jean Ritchie all received the First Annual Living Treasure Mudcat Award which included each of them having a star named after them.

Several venerables have passed on...the one which really stands out in my mind is Capt. Dennis Trone...it is recent and he had a huge influence on Art Thieme and many others by the reading of the thread.

There's probably more, but what the hey...we'll just start from today. It IS good to *see* you!

One thing that has changed is that the "Refresh" button now delivers a maximum of 1,000 threads, if you set for anything more than a couple of months back. You thus can't go back and read all of what's been posted in the past year (by that method), since the most recent 1,000 threads takes you back only about a 5 weeks.

You can still "search back" by clicking on the name at an idividual post, to get all of the posts by that person. Thus if you think you know who your friends are here a look at what they've posted (and posted to) would give a fair idea of what degerenerates your old friends have bec... what your old friends have been doing.
