Last seen headed towards Iceland last October - he'd been through a significant Detox and may not have been quite aware of what he was doing.

After this weeks' earthquake, a couple of people have expressed their concern as to his condition and whereabouts. He was rumoured to be heading towards Orkney but so far this is unfounded. That little pup could be anywhere!

Before his detox last autumn, he probably carried all sorts of nasty bugs and things.... he'd been to Iraq for heaven's sakes! THAT'S why we don't allow young, impressionable people to take him in hand. Limpit has had her vaccinations and Morty as a godmother - she's beyond redemption.

And I have to point out that of all the people who have asked me where he is (why have I suddenly become his keeper?!), none of them were Morty, Phot or Pixie of Doom....

Azizi - some time ago, a Xmas Secret Santa sent me a delightful porcelain Jester - which I was tempeted to allow to be sent around teh world to wherever a Mudcat frequenter lived. I thought better of this madness, as the doll was fragile.

It appears that Mudcat Jack is not so fragile...

The prcess of sending some toy/doll around the world has been around for some time, but has become more popular since the Internet. One of the original ideas was that each subsequent recipient would send a postacard to the original owner.

I did my best with the Detox Centre - the shock treatment with the whippet worked a treat to stop him sniffing bums.... but I think there may be more work required.

He's been through a significant period of detoxification.. he spent weeks and lots of money at an exclusive clinic on the south coast - his system had a complete flush and he spent ages drying out - don't get him drinking again!

I can't be liable for his detox fees, the police felt it was appropriate rehabilitation in line with his care plan from probation, therefore the state should be liable. Admittedly checking into the Priory was stretching the care plan but once again, I as a private and law abiding citizen cannot be held responsible for that.

Should we not all rejoice that Jack is a reformed pup: clean, sober and sort of upright?

The other reason he's dry is the price of beer in Iceland! Scarpi would be hard pressed to keep him in beer and other falling down potions! But he may have been trying the local Troll Moonshine.....

That said, he's also been an upstanding Icelandic citizen, and has a really fantastic Icelandic sweater to prove it.
