Here are Limpits details.

She's 12 and a half, hates boys, likes skulls, bones, blood, guts and gore (so any leftover Hallowe'en stuff is excellent), wears black or purple, is a Proto-Goth, bordering on MetalHead.

She likes working with beads, Manga drawing (Japanese Anime), is into with CSI (The original, not so much Miami, but we have all the DVDs), loves Doctor Who (the modern one, I'm the one who likes the Classic Dr Who), chocolate, cats, Darren Shan books (but we have all those too), Anthony Horrowitz (we don't have any of his) and pirates.

She passed her Grade 3 piano this year, is obsessed with the Sims and similar computer games and would like purple hair again.

Good luck, to the poor person who drew her as Santee - and spare a thought for the even poorer sap who got her as their Santa!

What a nice little bear you seem to be. A really good list to work with - and even considerate of your cub!

I'll see what I can find in and around my workshop for you my dear. You sound as though you deserve it.

Hugs from Santa

1. What is your age range? 54

2. Gender? Female

3. Do you have a favorite color? I think I'd choose blue as my favorite color - all shades except baby blue

4. Favorite authors/type of book? I really enjoy well written historical fiction like Margaret George (but I've read all of hers). I would enjoy books about your local area, folklore, etc. (Last year I got a real treat - a book of Banjo Patterson's poems from my Aussie Secret Santa, and a real "billy" to boil tea - only I use it for a tip jar but I'm digressing!"

5. What books have you really been wanting? Can't think of any that I want and haven't got

6. What type of music do you like? Traditional folk - most especially ballads. Not into singer songwriters unless they're as good as George Papavgeris, and not many are.

7. What CDs have you really been wanting? Can't think of any but I would probably enjoy recordings from your locality

8. What movies have you been wanting? (specify VHS if you don't have a DVD player)I don't watch much TV or movies

9. What is your t-shirt size? Large

10. Do you collect anything? if so, what? No I don't collect anything

11. What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, reading,

12. Do you prefer gold-tone or silver-tone jewelry? I like both but prefer silver. I love dangly earrings. I seldom wear bracelets but do sometimes wear necklaces.

13. Please include anything else you feel is important that would help your Secret Santa know what you would like. Well I love animals and especially love dogs

14. Remember that "negative hints" such as allergies might also be helpful. No allergies, but I try to avoid sweets so no chocolates please!

1. what is your age range?
Still 40 + a few months..

2. gender?
Female

3. Do you have a favorite color?
Several - just about any shade of blue, strong greens, strong - dark reds, grey, black, white - most colours except purple, pink yellow and orange shades

4. favorite authors/ type of book?
Historical novels built on real characters from history (preferably England / Scotland / Australia)

5. what books have you really been wanting?
Volume 9 and later of the series "The Australians" by Vivian Stuart ("writing as William Stuart Long")

6. what type of music do you like?
Ranging from Ossian via the likes of Nick Keir, Judy Small, McCalmans, Eric Bogle, Harvey Andrews, Martyn Wyndham-Read, Eleanor Shanley, Jed Marum, Seamus Kennedy, Kendall Morse et al to Runrig. Good singing-songwriting always welcome. Also good ceilidh dance music ;-)

7. what cds have you really been wanting?
In England I've seen some useful DVDs with "full set" instructions for English ceilidh dances - video of the moves, descriptions of the moves and (as far as I recall) notes for the music, too - or instructions on how many bars and which sort of tunes at the very least. One such DVD would be greatly appreciated.
For CDs, anything by The Men They Couldn't Hang - I've got some older ones on LPs, but nothing on CD. Redgum - "Caught in the Act" on CD to replace my old vinyl. The new CDs from Jed Marum and Kendall Morse.

8. What movies (vhs is in the price range) have you been wanting?
Don't have a VCR.. Rarely watch movies.

9. what is your t-shirt size?
M

Experience ;-) Dust bunnies.. :-((

11. what are some of your other hobbies?
Folk dancing & Morris dancing (border), photography, genealogy and I love my dachshund.

12. do you prefer gold-tone or silver-tone jewelry?
Definitely silver, but I only ever wear earrings (pierced) and necklaces, never bracelets, brooches or the like

13. please include anything else you feel is important that would help your secret santa know what you would like. Just moved house which is why I'm late in putting up my hints. My PC's been out of action for more than a week, and I've been extremely busy for longer than that. Sorry, Santa!

Best wishes,

Bente

Thanks Liz, that's most informative. But you didn't have to go to the trouble of sending me a full-colour map: black & white would have sufficed.

Well, I guess it's about time I posted something here. Wouldn't want to miss the boat -- or the sleigh, rather. Not much has changed since last year, but here goes anyway:

1. What is your age range? Old enough to know better (and old enough to have retired this year!)

2. Gender? Female

3. Do you have a favorite color? Purple, and any earth tones other than orange

4. Favorite authors/type of book? Love Patrick O'Brian -- read 'em all several times. Also enjoy other historical fiction, mysteries, thrillers

5. What books have you really been wanting? I'm pretty well set for books, thanks -- unless there's something good that's unique to your area

6. What type of music do you like? Just about any folk music, especially if it involves good harmony

7. What CDs have you really been wanting? Yours?

8. What movies have you been wanting? (specify VHS if you don't have a DVD player) Don't watch movies much

9. What is your t-shirt size? Hmmm, I'll pass on the T-shirts, thanks

10. Do you collect anything? if so, what? Other than dust rhinos, you mean? Jigsaw puzzles, cookbooks, pictures of my grandkid...

11. What are some of your other hobbies? Needlework, gardening

12. Do you prefer gold-tone or silver-tone jewelry? Gold-tone

13. Please include anything else you feel is important that would help your Secret Santa know what you would like. I'd enjoy anything from your local area -- your own music, maybe? And I am partial to things that are actually useful, though that's sometimes loosely interpreted...

14. Remember that "negative hints" such as allergies might also be helpful. No allergies that would be relevant here.

Thanks, Santa!

Nancy

1. What is your age range? 55
2. Gender? F
3. Do you have a favorite color? Dark Blues and Greens
4. Favorite authors/type of book? Lately, nonfiction issue books (environmental)
5. What books have you really been wanting? I buy the books I want to read and I have a gazillion still to read around the house.
6. What type of music do you like? Classical, folk, blues, jazz, classic rock, ecclectic world music, etc. The field is wide open.
7. What CDs have you really been wanting? I have way too many CDs now (after a coups at a garage sale last year my collection grew by 300!)
8. What movies have you been wanting? (specify VHS if you don't have a DVD player) I have NetFlix so I don't buy many movies. I don't have a list.
9. What is your t-shirt size? Medium or Large
10. Do you collect anything? if so, what? Yes, and I'm trying to clear it out! (See all of those de-clutter threads!)
11. What are some of your other hobbies? Cooking, gardening, sewing, photography, jewelry making.
12. Do you prefer gold-tone or silver-tone jewelry? "Tone" is a scary term, isn't it? I wear gold and silver, and they're probably too expensive for the gift exchange.
13. Please include anything else you feel is important that would help your Secret Santa know what you would like Rather that a box of calories (we have lots of those here) if you have a local specialty that is worth the trouble to ship, that's my suggestion if you're thinking of food. I love to read the local paper if you're finding a way to pad your gift. Things that ship well and I enjoy are small art objects. I've received several tiles from people over the years, and small wood carvings. Those always find a place on a shelf, on the wall, or near my computer. I can see two of them from here.
14. Remember that "negative hints" such as allergies might also be helpful. I doubt my allergies encoumpass anything you're liable to send.

And...for all the lazy gits out there...a link to last year's hint thread so you can say "no changes". Actually, I decided to retype it this year. The answers may be the same, maybe not, but at least they're current.
