PeterT is back, but recovering from jetlag, so I am taking a turn, again, here goes:

"For years we may have been hula girls with wildly gyrating hips in the back window of a car someone else is driving. Now, we dance on our own bumpy roads. We will refold our road maps the way we want them and life will conform to our desires." Excerpt from "Hula Girls" by Sheri Bradfield Copyright 1998

I like the bit about folding road-maps.

Katrina has always taken great delight in returning to me a strange crumpled bundle, that was once a neatly folded map.

I didn't realise she was making a statement, I just thought that she was incapable of folding it correctly?

On the other hand, just because she couldn't fold it up correctly doesn't mean she was making a conscious statement. Maybe you are the one making the statement to cover for the fact that she is too lazy to fold it up. Or maybe I am just trying to mess with your mind. As a government employee I am constantly reminded not to attach too much intent or specific meaning to happenings that could also be the result of simple incompetence. And my recent law suit against the government reinforced my paranoia with the facts that somebody was trying to get me.

It's probably just the inevitable consequence of dancing the Hula, in the back seat of cars.
