Subject: Change the song From: Rasener Date: 24 Dec 08 - 12:47 PM Just thought I would start a thread for all those mudcatters that like competitions. I am going to give the Title of a song, the artist(s) and a youtube video of the song. The next post has to provide a song title with at least one of the words from the previous song title. You also need to name the artist that sung it. Provide also a link to a youtube video of the song. Here we go, I will start with this one The Flight Il Volo by Zucchero & Ronan Keating http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3OWMhEiSYIE&feature=related Hope everybody has a lovely Christmas Les Worrall |

Subject: RE: Change the song From: semi-submersible Date: 25 Dec 08 - 01:43 AM How in the ever-lovin' whirled did you get from "Never on Sunday" to "A White Sport Coat"? Or from "Whiter Shade of Pale" to "On a Slow Boat to China"? I'd like to play (though without YouTube: on dial-up it takes forever to load, and frequently crashes this old computer) if I can follow the new rules. |
Subject: RE: Change the song From: Rasener Date: 25 Dec 08 - 01:55 AM Its Never On A Sunday to A White Sports Coat So A is the link On A Slow Boat To China to On A Slow Boat To China So A is the link again :-) Yes of course join in and yes ignore the youtube links if you are not on Broadband. |
Subject: RE: Change the song From: semi-submersible Date: 25 Dec 08 - 08:51 AM I see how I got confused. I remembered that when VirginiaTam in a recent thread suggested this game under the name "Song Title Turnover" such little connector words were disallowed, so I discounted them here. You could get from Never on Sunday to I'll Never Say 'Never Again' Again as sung by Nat King Cole (as well as two singers listed in the thread linked from the song title) following VirginiaTam's rule to "exclude common words like: A, An, It, Me, Mine, My, On, One, That, The, There, This, You". Thence, a couple of items from Mooh's Blues Christmas thread: Christmas Is Here Again - Little Johnny Taylor White Christmas -The Beatles ... Which gets you to White Sport Coat, with Marty Robbins. From there (I'd Like to Get You on a) Slow Boat to China, but for now it's Goodbye, Fare Ye Well. Can you get to China yourself via only major words from song titles? |
