Subject: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: GUEST,punkfolkrocker Date: 15 Mar 09 - 03:37 AM [would be signed in now if could remember my password..] serious question.. if at a sub-atomic particle level there is complete uncertainty as to what we are made of and what holds our matter together.. why, no matter how hard I concentrate, can I not pass my right index finger through the palm of my left hand ? ..sorry been up all night listening to early 70s dopey hippy CDs... |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: MartinRyan Date: 15 Mar 09 - 04:55 AM 'cos there's so many of them pesky uncertainty creatures that they get in each other's way! Stick to the whiskey! Regards |

Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: GUEST,punkfolkrocker Date: 15 Mar 09 - 05:54 AM hi SR.. thanks a lot.. i switched off the clock on my PC so I can carry on listening to vintage nostalgic music and finish off my last 50'th birthday bottle.... errr.. ahem.. so that must be 9.45 somewhere else in the world then.. so I can still go to bed eventually and wake up refreshed to face up to a sunday at 50 with no posibility of defeating the phsyical constraints of our material world.. ggrrrr.. |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: Liz the Squeak Date: 15 Mar 09 - 05:59 AM I went to bed sufficiently mellow (a very good rioja and some lovely brandy) and have awoken slightly sluggish (but I put that down to a 4mile walk through London carrying a 10lb backpack) but pleasantly hangover free... But I do have the munchies now.... LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: Rasener Date: 15 Mar 09 - 06:37 AM Happy 50th Punkfolkrocker Wish I was 50 again. :-) Not sure if it will help your head :-) Just for you. Enjoy Sex Pistols - Friggin In The Riggin Warning - its The Good Ship Venus, so don't open the link if you get easily offended. Ah the Sex Pistols - can't beat them. |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: VirginiaTam Date: 15 Mar 09 - 06:50 AM I don't need any chemical assistance on the stumbling, mumbling dopey behaviour. I am naturally gifted that way. The morning after always sux though. Every fekking morning is an after. Bleagh! Happy bleagh day! A warning, having nearly seen through to the end of the dreaded year 50, gotta say 51 doesn't look much better. |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: 3refs Date: 15 Mar 09 - 07:49 AM Turned 51 almost 3 weeks ago and I wish I could say "it don't hurt anymore" but it do! Brother-in-law's birthday was 17th, sister-in-law's 23rd, mine and an aunt 24th and another 25th, four good friends Mar 3, 7, 11 and 14(all same age except for aunts). For three weeks, I emerge from the fish hut long enoght to sober up, go and ref a hockey game or two and somebody else will say "let's celebrate"! Then I'll look at my oldest brother, who turned 64 in January and think to myself, "if I live that long, I'm going to be a real freakin mess"! If I'd have known that I was going to live this long, I'd have taken much better care of myself. Think I'm going to retire......but from what? Ain't life grand! |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: Rasener Date: 15 Mar 09 - 08:01 AM Wish I could be 21 again, knowing what I know now :-) |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: VirginiaTam Date: 15 Mar 09 - 08:04 AM god that would be depressing! 21 and afraid to do anything because you know everything. |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: Rasener Date: 15 Mar 09 - 08:08 AM LOL It would be a case of using the knowledge to help you. |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: Bobert Date: 15 Mar 09 - 08:10 AM Happy Birthday, pf-rock'r... Sorry that turning 50 didn't bring any new and improved powers to ya'... You know, like poking' a hole in yer hand with a finger but life is still good, ain't it??? Try it again in 10 years... Stoner Bobert |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: Sleepy Rosie Date: 15 Mar 09 - 10:23 AM "errr.. ahem.. so that must be 9.45 somewhere else in the world then.." Or some other universe, whichever suffices. I haven't done a long shift party, for getting on for a year... Must be a symptom of premature ageing. Happy Whiskey Day. |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: punkfolkrocker Date: 15 Mar 09 - 10:43 AM ello rosie.. i'm still awake.. my last bottle is now finished.. but there is a furnace like power deep in my heart that wont let me go to sleep its actualy quite pathetic at my age and i'd be a serious nuisance at folk festivals.. if youv'e seen Bono [out of old grandad band U2] on the telly recently.. i'm probably even more embarasing and annoying than him or his old baldy guitarist mate The Edge.. |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: olddude Date: 15 Mar 09 - 11:11 AM No but I am willing to try if someone has the bottle. Been a long night |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: Bill D Date: 15 Mar 09 - 11:30 AM When I was about 20, me and another guy went to a party. He drank gin and passed out under the harpsichord, and woke up with a terrible hangover. I sipped some of what he didn't finish and enjoyed the party, and felt fine in the morning. I learned a valuable lesson that night....and I STILL drink only as much as will let me enjoy all of the party. |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: Donuel Date: 15 Mar 09 - 11:34 AM No...but it is morning and I have had an hour to stretch and drink coffee, so its as good as I'll feel all day. |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: Mrrzy Date: 15 Mar 09 - 11:39 AM Not I, unfortunately! |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: Sleepy Rosie Date: 15 Mar 09 - 12:49 PM The only way I can keep alive, is if I can dance. For some reason if I'm dancing I can stay alert well into the new light of day, or afternoon, in good company. Drinking and dancing all night, keeps up the adrenalin and stops me getting tired or getting ill. Otherwise I'd be throwing up all over somebody elses lawn by now. Then there's the afternoon run to the supermarket, for a roast chicken dinner to feed everyone ..and a liberal hair. Sheesh, all weekend parties are fun. And I don't think you ever get 'too old' for fun. |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: kendall Date: 15 Mar 09 - 12:54 PM I've been wondering what todays rockers are going to use for nostalgia. Can you imagine 30 years from now a group of them standing around the old upright synthizer trying to remember two words from Twisted Sister? |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: Don Firth Date: 15 Mar 09 - 04:45 PM I think there is a 12-step program for this. . . . Don Firth |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: Peace Date: 15 Mar 09 - 05:22 PM Nostalgia just isn't what it used to be, that's for sure. |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: frogprince Date: 15 Mar 09 - 09:07 PM "...It's a real beauty...a Mexican cutey; just how it got there, I haven't a clue.." |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: Skivee Date: 15 Mar 09 - 10:55 PM PFolk, my man. Your stoner pals have pretty much avoided your question. Typical. Is is perfectly possible to pass the index finger through the opposite palm. Just accelorate the index finger to 350 mph or greater. Inertia should take care of things after that. |
Subject: RE: BS: anyone else mellow drunk or stoned now ? From: Bryn Pugh Date: 16 Mar 09 - 08:32 AM Yesh, thank you. Fissed as a part. |
