Interesting. I'll wait for the DNA studies.

Right now I'd guess an overgrown feral chihuahua, though.

Looks like the same film that hit the internet a few years ago. Turned out to be an emaciated dog with the hair singed off.

Now let me tell you about the Big Foot I saw in Central New York last week.....

"Some have speculated it could be a breed of dog called the Xoloitzcuintle, also known as a Xolo.

"It's been around for about 3,000 years in Mexico," said Rhett Rushing, a folklorist at the Institute of Texan Cultures in San Antonio.

The Xolo is a type of dog native to Mexico and Central America, and was considered a sacred dog in the Aztec culture. It bears similar resemblance to the gray hairless animal that is turning up all over South Texas.

"It was bred by the Aztecs both as a food source and a companion guardian, and it also had healing powers," said Rushing. the rest of the article here CLICK

If there is ONE Chupacabra/Bigfoot/etc., there must be at least TWO....and logic says there must be more for a breeding population. In these times the probability of ANY significant number of such creatures existing without being seen, photographed and captured/shot regularly is...ummm..low.

Have you ever seen a dog with demodectic mange? That's the non-spreading one that is a genetic problem in the dog. Looks awful. Looks like this poor dog they've decided is this mythic chupacabra. Has a vet looked at it?

I just read a little more on this, on links above:

Jerry Ayer, owner of the Blanco Taxidermy School, isn't so sure that what he has really is what everyone hopes he has. But as the man who is in the process of stuffing the beast, he does know he's working on something unique.

"To be honest, I don't know what it is. I'd probably say it's a freak-of-nature coyote, or a hybrid breed with a genetic mutation," the soft-spoken Ayer said.

Ayer says he stuffs about 15 to 20 coyotes a year, and this is no coyote. "The footpads are different. They're rather bulbous. And this has longer legs by a few inches."

You know darned well that it this was a true biological mystery someone scientific would be looking at it. Instead, a good ol' boy taxidermist is tearing it to pieces, altering the consistency of the skin, and stuffing it.

It's as bogus as the finger in the chili at Wendy's and the rat in the Coke bottle.

SRS

SRS, read my first posts. Two university labs are going to look into it... tissue samples, DNA testing.

"...the rat in the Coke bottle."

umm..well, when I first worked in a grocery store about 1956, someone brought back an UNOPENED 12oz. Pepsi with a mouse in the bottom. Those were the days of returnable bottles, which were washed & reused. I should have kept it....
