Lily Ann was born by Caesarean when her mother was diagnosed with preeclampsia. She is two months premature and in Intensive Care with pneumonia. All good wishes, candles, prayers, thoughts accepted gratefully. She is at Massachusetts General - probably the best place to be in this situation.
Direct healing thoughts her way. Her uncle works with me and is devastated. Kevin could use some healing thoughts too.

I made it through that passage--I was DOA and brought back by a caring nurse giving me mouth to mouth resuscitation, after less than eight months build-time. So it can be done, there is hope and it can all turn out fine.

My husband was born two months prematurely, in winter, at home, with only a midwife's care. He's survived for almost 73 years so far. With all the care and medical help available to Lily Ann, she can do well.

Sins, take a picture of Morgan to show to Kevin and tell him about my dau. being preeclampsic and him being born a preemie by Cesaerian. He was a bit older than Lily Ann, but he made it and it was touchy. You know how well it turned out.

Mother, Father god of my heart, I give thanks for complete health for Lily Ann; may she breath deeply and easily and flourish under the loving care she receives. I give thanks for this or something better for the highest good of all concerned. So mote it be!

Our nephew's little guy Oscar arrived a little ahead of schedule, and spent a few days "hooked up" before going home. He's fine. Add prayers from Michigan that all will go as well for the little lady.

Update: Not pneumonia but a heart valve problem which can be remedied with surgery. I think that is good news.

My fiancee had a pair of twin girls about 4 months early. One had no heartbeat at birth and they both had enough eye damage from early oxygen exposure that she was told they would both be blind. They were both also expected to have severe disabilities.

They started 10th grade a few days ago. One is dancing with a competitive studio and the other is running on the Cross Country team. They are both honor students.

I hope the best for your little one. Anything is possible to those who believe.

I fell in love with a lady that was a preemie. She still has that special baby face only preemies have.

Preemies today are not as worrisome event as they were years past.

Meanwhile learn to enjoy and play with your new sneak preview.
Its something some folks will never get to enjoy.

My twins weighed 2lbs11oz and 3lbs12oz, and were 10 weeks early, and are fine fine fine now, starting high school (!)... Mass Gen is a great hospital! Well wishes,

More good news. It is not a valve in Lily Ann's heart that is causing the problem. It is a hole in her heart which will heal on its own. Keep up the good work guys.

I was born with that same thing in 1953. They told my mom it was really bad. I would get sick pretty easy as a kid and went through a lot of infections and tired out easily but it all closed up on its own so I am living proof ... That is wonderful news !!
