Subject: Lyr Add: LITTLE STAR TREKS^^^ From: rich r Date: 19 Jul 99 - 10:04 PM With apologies to Malvina Reynolds and the filk site I found this on a few years ago. LITTLE STAR TREKS
Little Star Treks on my TV, little Star Treks look so ticky tacky
And the captains of the Star Treks all rule with great efficiency
Now the captains of the Star Treks have added another one
And the plot lines on the Star Treks all deal with blowing up a ship
And the bad guys on the Star Treks wear prosthetic body parts
Little Star Treks on my TV, little Star Treks look so ticky tacky
And don't forget the "space" verses to "The Cat Came Back" rich r |

Subject: RE: Flying Saucer/Space Songs From: Dale Rose Date: 19 Jul 99 - 02:05 PM John S, you are right about that Flying Saucer song in your first post. It was by the Buchanan Brothers. I think I still have it around somewhere, but I believe it is on a 78, which means I can't play it here, and that's even if can find it in the first place. |
Subject: Lyr Add: FLYING SAUCERS^^ From: reggie miles Date: 19 Jul 99 - 12:06 PM Flying Saucers Our marriage used to be, like the sweetest harmony, everything was peachy at the start. Like a rocket to the moon, it was over much too soon, when she hit me on the head she broke my heart. (*,sound effect of glass saucers smashing to pieces) *SMASH!, OWW!, *SMASH!, OOOH!, *SMASH!, AHAH!, *SMASH!, OWWW! (chorus:) Flying saucers, flying saucers, flying from the hands of my wife, flying saucers, cups and saucers, are breaking up my happy wedding life. Last night I sure was blist, when she threw a plate and missed, I cried this is goodbye to our romance. But she pleaded as she said, though the plate just missed your head, I'm your wife and I deserve another chance. (repeat from smashes and groans through chorus) So to science I declare, for those saucers in the air, you don't have to look to Jupiter or Mars. You can solve this mystery, find a woman who is free, marry her and you will soon be seeing stars. (repeat smashes, groans and chorus) Okay, not exactly what was requested but I couldn't resist HTML line breaks added. -JoeClone 26-Jan-2001. |
