Completely shallow question really but does anyone know who the girl with the offensive balloon is/was in the Davy Graham segment of Ken Russell's 1959 film 'Guitar Crazy'?

Have you seen the standard of YouTube comments?
Most of them involve some form of homophobic abuse, are written entirely without the use of vowels and are more likely to start an argument than a thread on here about Show of Hands!

So was hoping there was someone here who was involved in the original production, in some way.

But yes, she was certainly cast for her easy-on-the-eye qualities, whoever she is.

Answering my own question:

The Bfi tells me she was called Teresa Power.

Great name.

Karl Dallas has posted on this thread that he's still in touch with Davy's partner Carol Ballard.

Herga, the thread you mention has been deleted. But, yes, I am in touch with Carol, though I can't see the significance in relation to the Ken Russell film, since I don't think she and Davey knew each other then. You can hear Carol and Davey discussing his life HERE. Also Bill Leader (who produced the seminal 3/4AD EP which featured Davey playing Angi as well as a duet with Alexis Korner, inspired by Miles Davis' All Blues), Duck Baker, and Mark Pavey.

I noticed that in The Times list of 'notable deaths' of 2009, Davey was not featured (though John Martyn was).
