A happy new year to one and all.

The time has come, once again, to update the Lurkers' Register for 2009, where people who have nothing particular to say can let others know they are still here.

I thought I'd start a new thread in the hope that people who had added their names in earlier years will register again this year. The previous thread can be found here - Lurkers' Register

I will re-post part of my opening message from the other thread by way of explanation:

From time to time, we have threads asking "Where is Joe Bloggs?" or "What's happened to A N Other?". Often, 'Catters are able to fill in some of the blanks or the person involved chips in and identifies him/herself.

I post sparingly although I am an avid reader of posts both above and below the line. When I do post on a topic of general interest, it would be nice to have an idea who might be receiving my words of wisdom.

I propose that we have a "Lurkers' Register", updated once a year, where people who have nothing particular to say can let others know they are still around. All that would be required for a member who is logged on, would be to open the thread and hit the submit button, or to add a name first, if coming in as a Guest. Any additional messages would be optional.



If you are a lurker and would like others to know your still around, then why not tack on your name to this thread to form the 2009 LURKERS' REGISTER.

Welcome to Mudcat, Dallara!

I hope that you and other new members and those who choose to remain guests {as well as other "old members"} will jump in more often and post information and/or opinions on threads that catch your {their} interests. Doing so makes for a better forum.

I suppose I'm technically a lurker since I rarely post more than about once a month. OTOH, any of the 'Catters here who are FSGW Getaway regulars (or even irregulars...wait, that descibes *all* Getaway attendees...*grin*) know who I am, so I'm hardly "invisible".

I'm still around. May start being more visible since I'm laid off right now. When I was working I went into real sundowner mode.Of course,in the summer up here the sun doesn't go down until 10:00 pm,but I'm asleep at 6.
