Subject: Folklore: Sore ring Folk anthems ?

ooohh that's uncomfortable !!!

I've just endured a diabolical sit down session after last nights curry,
so just to cheer me up;

are there any known verifiable references to piles
or any other downstairs backdoor ailments
in any venerable old traditional folk songs ?

seriously..

Cats on the rooftops, cats on the tiles,
Cats with the syphilis, cats with the piles,
cats with their arseholes wreathed in smiles,
As we revel in the joys of fornication.

Tune, 'D'ye ken John Piles'.

Did'nt Emma Royds write some good songs on the subject?

Or how about "The Ballad of Farmer Giles", or "Sitting on the Dockleaf of the Bay".

If anyone can write something totally unsympathetic for such a situation, the I'm sure Acorn4 can come up with the goods (in a plain brown wrapper, of course).

On "The Winkers Album (Misprint)" by Ivor Biggun and the Red Nosed Burglars, there is a song entitled "My Brother's Got Files (Misprint)".

"In the next cage, ladies and gentlemen, we have the Rhinoceros"
"The Rhinoceros! What the f***ing hell's that"
"Rhinoceros comes from the Greek, ladies and gentlemen
from Rhino meaning money and ceros meaning piles
Hence Piles of money - which accounts for his abominable temper!!!!"

We're off to see the Wild West Show... etc.
