It can be a relief to get through it. I know it's not what you planned or envisioned, but it will be better, imo, judging from the two times I did it. Kids are resilient, esp. if both parents stay mature about it. I see the videos of you and the kids and the music, etc. you share with them and know they are well-loved and, more importantly, I am sure they know it, too. And, you are also well-loved. Your creative announcement brought a misty smile to a lot of us, I imagine, Max. That same creativity will sustain you and your kids as you shoulder the life ahead.

I've always said that my ex and I managed a better divorce than we did marriage- so far as I know, neither of us ever badmouthed each other to our daughter, and we are friends today. The funny thing is that I suspect that had we stayed together he would not be the admirable person he is today. :)

Well........It may not be what you planned but there is only what is; what should be never existed (Lenny Bruce). Ya' know I think I learned more from Lenny than I did from Heidegger, Buber, and Barth, combined. Come to think of it though, Old Martin, nazi that he was, once said something to the effect that the possible ranks higher than the actual.

So with that in mind as well as your availability, may I suggest you call up Tipper Gore who seems to have given Al the boot. I'm not real crazy about her former stance on censorship but you can't tell me that any red blooded American male wouldn't want to date some blonde named "Tipper."
