I'm compiling a list of songs that are either about the border between the US and Mexico, or tell stories that take place in the general region. I'm trying to have enough to get me through a three hour gig. Right now what I have/am working on includes 'Across the Border' (Springsteen), 'Across the Borderline' (Cooder), 'Cancion Mixteca' (Alavez), 'Deportee' (Guthrie), 'Mazatlan' (Stewart), 'Pancho and Lefty' (Van Zandt), 'Pour Me Another Tequila, Sheila' (Bare), 'Seven Spanish Angels' (Setson, Seals), 'Spanish Is the Loving Tongue' (Clark). They can be serious, funny, whatever. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

@ Amergin: Wow! Thanks for the tip on Tom Russell's 'Who's Gonna Build Your Wall.' I haven't laughed and cried during the course of one song in I don't know when. Maybe never. I love it. Also enjoyed California Snow & Gallo del Cielo. Will look for the others. Thanks, all. Can't find Bill Gallagher anywhere. Different spelling maybe?
