Subject: BS: Anyone recognize this 'Catter? From: Mark Ross Date: 19 Nov 10 - 10:07 AM From todays NY Times; http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/19/arts/design/19gangster.html?ref=todayspaper Mark Ross |
Subject: RE: BS: Anyone recognize this 'Catter? From: Geoff the Duck Date: 19 Nov 10 - 10:45 AM Strange - the date appears to be current, but the article isn't new information. There has been a thread (some time back) on Larry's gangster connections and if the article linked to hadn't got a date on it, I would have said it was something which had been linked to from the previous thread. Maybe they have just updated an old one. Quack! GtD. |
Subject: RE: BS: Anyone recognize this 'Catter? From: Desert Dancer Date: 19 Nov 10 - 10:52 AM "Mr. Otway grew up a Quaker and still affects a mustacheless beard and plain dress." -- as if that's just a habit he couldn't break from childhood?? That's a funny sentence. He is one of the most interesting Mudcatters. ~ Becky in Tucson |

Subject: RE: BS: Anyone recognize this 'Catter? From: GUEST,Alan Whittle Date: 20 Nov 10 - 10:49 AM I've been searching round - has this Lorcan Otway guy got a regular website? |
Subject: RE: BS: Anyone recognize this 'Catter? From: katlaughing Date: 20 Nov 10 - 11:36 AM Lorcan himself posted that article a few years ago as noted above. Odd they have this year's date on it. Al, he's got a blog HERE. He's also been here a long time and his postings make for very interesting reading material, imo. He's also on Facebook as "Lorcan Otway." And, here is a video of him explaining the opening of an old theatre in his family Old Speakeasy. There are also other youtube vids of him. |
Subject: RE: BS: Anyone recognize this 'Catter? From: katlaughing Date: 20 Nov 10 - 11:46 AM He's bringing GHOSTS TO THE THEATRE to tell the history of the place from the 1600s on. Fascinating! |
