Poor Rush Limbaugh. He keeps forgetting things. For example, he doesn't remember the civil rights movement at all, but thinks that the Tea Parties constitute the first time that everyday citizens have "risen up" since the Civil War (or War Between the States). Or at least he says so. Maybe he's lying.

Here's the vid. Sorry you have to wade through so much crap to get to it; the quote you want is right at the end. The rest is equally untrue of course but less damning.

So is he lying, or just stupid? And why do the right-wing sheeple lap it up like gravy? The world may never know.

The new Gov of Maine told the NAACP to kiss his ass.

The new Gov of Virginia appointed 23 whites to staff and no one else darker than snow.

Halley Barber said he didn't remeber segregation being that bad or the white citizen committees doing anything but help integration.

Racists found a home in the tea party. They also have about 17% in foavor of a vilent armed overthrow of the US gov. They seem to forget that they would have to overthrow the US military. Can you imagine the tea party revolutionaries calling in an air strike?
The Army could launch drones and the tea party would launch crones.

Among Dems and Repubsthere is about 5 or 6% for each that thaik we need unlimited guns against a tyranincal government.

True racist tea party school board elected officials in Wake County North Carolina were featured on Stephen Colbert last night. They want to undo integration and go back to neighborhood schools.
"The Feds have dilluted the problems we have with poorer school districts. If we concentrate the poverty (black areas) then the problems will be more obvious so we can address them."

Colbert said "Once the problem becomes more concentrated when we undo the current Federal system, then social unrest and problems that stem from those school districts can be directly addressed.
Only then can we undo the undoing of what we are successfully doing now."

Rush probably doesn't want to remember the civil rights movement (or any of the other movements mentioned) because the so-called Tea Party would suffer by comparison.

The civil rights movement had a highly-principled and inspiring leader, a rather well-defined set of goals, and a mass of people who were willing to make great personal sacrifices to further those goals—all of which the Tea Party lacks.
