Subject: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: Bill D Date: 08 Feb 11 - 10:45 PM later this year Not exactly mainstream channel, but who knows? He may bring it into common notice. At least it's one I can get. (strange...I had no idea Al Gore was involved in that channel) |
Subject: RE: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: Wesley S Date: 09 Feb 11 - 07:20 AM And here I was hoping he would end up on Fox News so they would truly be "fair and balanced". |
Subject: RE: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: Bobert Date: 09 Feb 11 - 08:36 AM Dream on, Wes... BTW, didja'll see O'Reily's interview of Obama prior to the Super Bowl??? O'Reily interrupted Obama ***70 times*** in 5 minutes!!! I think that is a record... But back to Keith... I reckon I'll have to try to find that station... B~ |

Subject: RE: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: Bill D Date: 09 Feb 11 - 06:33 PM Doug... there was video, with real time counting. If you want to discount a few where it was a toss-up, it was STILL over 50. |
Subject: RE: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: Bill D Date: 09 Feb 11 - 06:34 PM Now, to be fair... Chris Matthews would have come close to that... *grin* |
Subject: RE: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: Genie Date: 10 Feb 11 - 05:33 PM Back to Keith. Glad (not surprised) he's going to be back on the air. It may not be face time for another few months, unless he can get MSNBC to agree to that, but he'll be involved with Current TV much sooner than that. It'll be interesting to see what happens with MSNBC with the double whammy of Comcast buying NBC (and subsidiaries) and Olberman leaving. I hope they will continue to grow in viewership and in accessibility. (The channel is not available on the cable packages of a lot of homes and businesses.) Bill, you're right about Chris being almost as much a habitual interrupter as Bellow Reilly is, but Chris is rarely as belligerent in his interruptions and probably never would be in an interview with a head of state - especially the POTUS. |

Subject: RE: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: Bill D Date: 10 Feb 11 - 07:56 PM That link in the opening post has been updated with more information. It sounds like they are doing ok with planning. |

Subject: RE: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: Bobert Date: 27 Jan 12 - 08:54 AM Seems that Keith could use a little bit of Rodney King... He just doesn't get along with anyone for too long... B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: Jim Dixon Date: 27 Jan 12 - 09:32 AM Meanwhile, Rachel Maddow keeps getting better and better. |
Subject: RE: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: Elmore Date: 27 Jan 12 - 01:23 PM Olbermann is very talented, but I find Lawrence O'Donnell, his MSNBC replacement less abrasive and more thoughtful. |

If you want to discount a few where it was a toss-up, it was STILL over 50." Douggie's never been very good at recognizing or accepting factual information. Don't waste your time trying. He exists in a fact-free environment of his own making, with a little help from Faux News. |
Subject: RE: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: catspaw49 Date: 27 Jan 12 - 06:53 PM I think KO has a screw loose to be truthful.......He keeps on going with his my way or highway philosophy and hits the bumpy road every time. Chris gets excited and talks over himself even......Lawrence is just toooo sober and sincere........The Reverend has mellowed but can turn a phrase..........Ed is our own answer to Rush........but Rachel is the best new thing in the world today! MSNBC junkie...... Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: Bill D Date: 27 Jan 12 - 06:57 PM That post from Huffington was 3 weeks ago. Keith has been back on since then, and I thought they has sort of 'settled' it. |

Subject: RE: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: saulgoldie Date: 30 Mar 12 - 08:04 PM Here we go again...Ohboy! Keith Olbermann Gone From Current TV Saul |
Subject: RE: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: MarkS Date: 30 Mar 12 - 11:39 PM Yawn All these folks would be better on radio. TV is not a friendly medium for any type of political commentary of any persuasion. |
Subject: RE: BS: Keith Olbermann to be back on TV From: catspaw49 Date: 31 Mar 12 - 12:06 AM He needs to start his own channel so he can argue interminably with himself................kinda' like Braxton Bragg in the Civil War. MSNBC gets better all the time with a lot of new blood filling in and having their own shows. Both Melissa Harris-Perry and Chris Hayes are excellent on the weekends and the nightly crew does a great job. I don't think they lost anything when KO left. Rachel Maddow is becoming a gold medal standard. Spaw |
