I'll be a little more interested in this draft than most. My home state team. The Carolina Panthers pick first and I am interested to see where Cam Newton is selected. I'd like to see the Panthers pick Newton but only if they can trade their number 1 pick for someone else's first and second round pick or something similar.

I heard the Pats just attached the franchise tag to Logan Mankins. He probably doesn't much like it but hopefully it will lead to a long term deal. That man anchors the Patriots O-Line.

Oh with that organization I think as long as all the coaches and scout staff remains in place you will always be a contender. Tommy has a lot of years left before his career is done and those receivers are always first class. In addition the defense is strong but needs a little work. You will see that next season I think. They will beef it up this draft pick.

I see Manning may miss starting this weekend... first time in regular season. 227 straight including playoffs... second only to Favre (who still doesn't know how to pronounce his name).

I hadn't realized Manning was MVP 4 times. I like his commercials too.
