Subject: BS: Nice day! What would you do? From: Phot Date: 23 Mar 11 - 09:28 AM I've just been to lunch in the mess, and its a beautiful day! Now I'm stuck back in the office, no windows, just the computer screens to look at, I just don't want to be here! I'd rather be on the canals listning to a Gardner diesel quietly putting away to its self, looking out over green open countryside, just watching the world go by, looking forward to mooring up at a quiet canalside pub, and enjoying a pint and a bite to eat. What would you like to do on a day like today? Wassail!! Chris |

Subject: RE: BS: Nice day! What would you do? From: GUEST,number 6 Date: 23 Mar 11 - 09:49 AM beautiful day here in Southern New Brunswick (Canada) and yes, like you Chris I'm stuck here at work. Much rather be driving up along the shores of the Saint John River, stopping to take some photographs along the way. Now ... *sigh* .... I must get back to the grind. biLL |
Subject: RE: BS: Nice day! What would you do? From: GUEST,999 Date: 23 Mar 11 - 09:56 AM I'm at a laptop working on liner notes and back and forth with the fellow doing graphics. Joy. I went fishing with Beer last year. He caught a piece of tree bark and I caught a cold. All in all, however, I'd rather be fishing. I'm Gonna Miss Her sung by Brad Paisley Well I love her But I love to fish I spend all day out on this lake And hell is all I catch But today she met me at the door Said I would have to choose If I hit that fishin' hole today She'd be packin' all her things And she'd be gone by noon Well I'm gonna miss her When I get home Right now I'm on this lakeshore And I'm sittin' in the sun I'm sure it'll hit me When I walk through that door tonight Yea I'm gonna miss her Oh, lookie there, I've got a bite, Alright Now there's a chance that if I hurry I could beg her to stay But that water's right And the weather's perfect No tellin' what I might, catch today So I'm gonna miss her When I get home But right now I'm on this lakeshore And I'm sittin' in the sun I'm sure it'll hit me When I walk through that door tonight Yea I'm gonna miss her Oh, lookie there,Another bite Yeah, I'm gonna miss her Oh, lookie there, I've got a bite |

Subject: RE: BS: Nice day! What would you do? From: Mrrzy Date: 23 Mar 11 - 10:57 AM Fishing, isn't that a fancy word for waiting? Now, if i were going to be doing nothing outside, I'd be on an oceanfront beach. West coast, of course, they have the waves. Maybe a pineapple seller will wander by... |
Subject: RE: BS: Nice day! What would you do? From: GUEST,999 Date: 23 Mar 11 - 10:59 AM "Fishing, isn't that a fancy word for waiting?" It is for me. Thus, I bring a grenade or two . . . |
Subject: RE: BS: Nice day! What would you do? From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 23 Mar 11 - 11:18 AM Time to garden. The roses need pruning, the dead leaves from the lilies need to go. Cardinals are singing, and somewhere somebody is getting a new roof, judging from the sound of hammers. Ah, life is sweet sometimes. |
Subject: RE: BS: Nice day! What would you do? From: Beer Date: 23 Mar 11 - 12:28 PM I have 12 birdhouse to fix then it is off to the woods for my dog's (and mine) exercise. I have to admit though that I have been eying the river behind the house and can hardly wait for the water to warm up a bit so I can catch my supper. ad. |

Cats rolling about revelling in the heat, me sipping tea and husband kindly weeding the border. Blackbird singing its heart out on the apple tree. Bliss! |

Subject: RE: BS: Nice day! What would you do? From: Van Date: 23 Mar 11 - 04:03 PM I don't live far from a lovely sandy beach and a few hundred yards walk takes mee there and I can walk my wee dog and play in the sand for as long as i want. On days like this that can be a while. |

Subject: RE: BS: Nice day! What would you do? From: GUEST,Patsy Date: 24 Mar 11 - 03:48 AM What I would really like to do right now would be to go into the countryside, find a lovely country pub have some nice food, feed some ducks and swans and just chill out. The reality is a trip to the dentist later today! |
