Well...not so much new, as revived!

This Sunday from 7pm Billy will be hosting the session at the Marquis Of Granby, Waddinghm, Lincolnshire - just off the A15 north of Caenby corner.

All styles welcome - folk, trad, singers ..whatever you fancy, plus a great real ale pub and a friendly crowd!
See you there...... ?

Dáithí
(Gone to the Dogs)

Hi Rockhen - yep was lovely - about 9 of us there from 7 till late (I left at 1.30 and a few folks were still playing).
we had a couple of singers, guitars, fiddle, whistls, accordion thingies and a good variety of music - from irish tradand folk to English gigues, modern country style folk, ..even a bit of blues harp ! great crowd!
It takes place on the First and Last Sunday of each month now -hope to see some more local musicians drop by we never seem to get any of the Gainsborough crowd, sadly!
Best wishes D

Sundays are difficult, Daithi, but the evening is better than the afternoon. Hope to get there, maybe the first one in May (busy, busy, busy the next two w/e's).

Now for the bonus points - who was the Marquis of Granby?

A British military man who provided funds for ex-soldiers to set up pubs after they were demibbed. So many of them named their pubs after him...
