I find the push to this procedure alarming as it could easily destroy much of our fresh water. There is plenty of petroleum in the world, the only reason for fracking is that it gets away from part of imported sources. (I spent my working life in the petroleum industry). Note: there is a great difference between normal drilling into a natural gas reservoir and the wholesale fracking of rock containing the gas. The two should not be confused. |
