ok, I wrote this novel. It's called The First Class. Having had no luck with several agents, and my infernal bloody printer, I put the thing on Kindle. It is very cheap. It has it's funny moments. One of my friends has bought a copy.

If anyone has any pull with he Pope, the Reverend Fred Phelps, Sarah Palin, the 700 Club, or Faux News, and can get them to denounce it, I'd greatly appreciate the free publicity.

Oh it is available in Great Britain and the E.U. If anyone can get it denounced over there, I'd be very appreciative.

So, let me add my name to the long list of those who have condemned this book - it's 'orrible! The juicy parts are exceptionally graphic.
(well, actually, I can't say that, since I haven't read it - are reviewers actually supposed to read the books they review?)

LadyJean, you have a way with characters. I downloaded the free Kindle for PC software and read the free sample, and I am hooked on the story. May have to invest... Good work!

I didn't see a cover. Do you have one?

I've been working on a book to put on Kindle & Nook, and I think I have the cover situation figured out.

If you have a photo (jpg) you think would make a good cover, I might be able to work it into something for you.

I've had the best results with a light-colored photo overlayed with large, dark fonts. Pretty heavy-handed but legible when reduced to thumbnail size, which is one of the things Amazon recommends you aim for.

PM me if you're interested. You could email me a jpg and we could go from there. And if you want the photo cropped to the upper left quadrant and reversed and such, that stuff can probably be done.

PS - I enjoy doing side projects like this but can't anticipate when I'll have time for them, so it could take a while. But the end result might be preferrable to that No Image gap on the page.

I got the announcement yesterday, and had to tell myself a dozen times that Jane Austen and Dorothy Sayers DIDN'T self publish.

It's nice to get a response, especially a positive one. I would particularly like to thank kendall. With luck somebody like Nancy Grace or Bill O'Reilly will get wind of it and give me some free publicity. (Nobody has oral sex with a chicken. My sister raises chickens. They are not attractive birds.)

No cover, I'm not much of an artist, and I didn't think to ask any of my artist friends.

Thank you. It's nice to know somebody was interested.

I thought it was disgustingly shameless.Way too long,and not enough words.
The caractures are not developed,we don't know who done it,we don't care!
Its too sparce,vague,leaves too much to the imagination,and the sex bits,well,I've read the Marquis de Sade and this is well, how can I say,disgustingly shamelessly boring.But,that said,I'll have to read it to make a judgment!
Where can I get a copy,just for a friend of mine of course!

It's only on Amazon Kindle, I'm afraid. My dream is to walk into a bookstore and see my name on a published book. Well, maybe someday. Do they still ban things in Boston. How does one get banned in Boston? That would be wonderful for sales.

LadyJean, congratulations! You might want to check out the BookBrewer link I put in the resources for writers' thread. It is not that difficult to get yourself published in traditional format. I did it a few years ago through CafePress.com, at no cost save for what books i wanted to order at wholesale price and no minimum. You can see the result at my website. The cover is just a photo I took, then superimposed the title etc.
